I love the Matrix theory first time I heard about it - Smith checks actually all the boxes, including that he can change the Matrix, something that Neo doesn't/can't. However, he needed Neo to become the unwitting One after Neo jumped into him. So, it needed a bit of NEO to get to the ONE. Indominous Rex has human DNA? Well, that would explain one thing in particular: that thing hunts for sports. It is actually said in the movie and it makes him so different from the others. Indominus likes to kill... An almost human trait, I guess?
Cats, wolverines, shrikes are only 3 species that come immediately to mind that also hunt for sport and kill without reason. Not just humans, and #notallhumans
@@RendallRen Yeah, right, I should have put "sports" into "" obviously because I meant "for fun", cats do it to stay in training, to be efficient predators and while chimpanzees can be cruel, humans perfected this. Maybe the hint in JW is a bit superficial but it's still open for interpretation that Indominus goes beyond what we usually see in animals of his ilk and more in apes/monkeys and in a broader sense humans. And while gaming for humans is probably evolutionary speaking just the same thing cats do in staying "sharp", there is a certain difference between us and them the movie could allude to. Not everything in a dumb entertainment film has to be taken literally 😉
You forgot to mention in Signs that they call the daughter an angel and it was a glass of water that she touched that fell on one of the demons and that's how they knew how to hurt them. The daughter blessed the water.
The Na'vi are about as similar to the other animals on Pandora as humans are to the other animals on Earth. More so in fact... they have USB cables sticking out of their heads that literally plug in to them! Dumb theory.
On Earth all land dwelling vertebrates (mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians) have 4 limbs (2 paired sets limbs) showing they evolved from a common ancestor. Even snakes had legs at one point and still do when they are embryos. However on Pandora all native fauna have 6 limbs EXCEPT the Na’vi who have 4. This has always really bugged me. The USB cable could be an adaptation gained after settling on Pandora.
@@Jayk129 That reasoning is just as dumb as the theory. We look absolutely nothing like anything that dwells in the water or air. We look absolutely nothing like big cats, wolves, deer, elk, crocodiles, etc. All the other human-like things are extinct. The Jurassic World/Indominous Rex thing has a lot more to it than just theory. The idea of combining human DNA with a dinosaur was going to be the center plot of a Jurassic Park movie.
I have a theory for Midsommar. The only reason Christian got chosen at the end was because Dani forgot the other dude's name and was too socially awkward to ask.

8) My Matrix theory is that Agent Smith is modeled on the previous One, and that if there was a continuation of the series there would be an Agent Anderson. 1) In mythology, running water is often a barrier to supernatural forces - so an invasion from hell mistaken for an alien invasion because of a faithless world? I could go with that - it would also explain why Mel Gibson's character returns to his faith after the encounter, recognizing the creatures for what they truly were.
*Mel Gibson’s character in signs is not a former catholic priest. Priests can’t get married or have kids. He was a reverend I believe, or possibly a minister, but he was definitely not a priest*
I'm a fan of the Jurassic Park theory that claims that the dinosaurs weren't cloned from preserved DNA - it doesn't last that long. Instead, they were engineered to look like dinosaurs, and if they could fool the paleontologists, experts in their fields, then they could easily fool the general public. Also handily explains the more recent argument that they have no feathers - because at the time, we didn't think any did, so why would we engineer them to have some?
Signs: Except they explicitly state that they're avoiding bodies of water and that it's regular old water that saved the day. Not like the preacher denying god blessed all that water lying around his house...
I heard it differently and that it was the little girl who blessed the water. I think she was described as an angel when she was born so everytime she took a sip it became holy. I agree about them avoiding other water though
Running water, like rivers and oceans, are often barriers to supernatural forces in mythology, so the fact that the water wasn't 'blessed' isn't a huge factor. Demons, mistaken for aliens by a faithless world, being defeated by running water would make a lot more sense. The movie still falls short because it doesn't give the aliens/demons a motivation.
@@leonielson7138 They're clearly aliens. Demons wouldn't show up in space ships and make crop circles. Fan theory on the movie Sucker Punch I first saw this movie based off the trailers. What I saw I enjoyed well enough, but it was not the Anime style movie that I was promised. I walked away from the theater underwhelmed, but I still bought the movie on DVD. It is a beautiful looking movie, but multiple viewings did not endure it more to me. In order to make the movie more, I created a theory that allowed for a deeper interest to me. My overall concept: Sweet Pea has schizophrenia, and most of what we see is her own delusion. First off, I am not an expert in the field of human psychology, so take my arm-chair use of the term loosely. I am saying Sweet Pea has created an illusion and cast of characters for her own personal delusion. I will not point to evidence, as I am sure this is not what the director was intending, so I go off what is presented, but seen in a different light. Taking this concept as fact, lets start from the beginning… Sweet Pea is taken away from her home because of her fictional sister, Rocket. Rocket: a means of departure. Sweet Pea is committed, from which she creates her reality of persecution. Sweet Pea creates the rest of her cast. Amber: an object once fluid that solidifies over time. Blondie: a generic filler… Like I said, we are doing a lot of stretching here. Blue Jones is probably the head of the facility, but Sweet Pea personifies him as her ultimate oppressor. She changes reality anytime she desires, playing out the fantasy of captivity to whatever suits her mood. In Sweet Pea’s theory session, she is led into the creation of an innocent creature in the form of Baby Doll. You see it in the movie how Sweet Pea rejects the back story being given to this creation. Sweet Pea is the lead character of this stage production at Baby Doll’s introduction. Without a definitive story, Baby Doll becomes part of her general cast. The goal of the creation of Baby Doll was to help Sweet Pea break free, and that is what she does. Baby Doll is Sweet Pea’s white knight. She is the warrior needed to set her free. Each thing stolen in Sweet Pea’s fantasies is a means to break free from the prison of her own mind, as each fantasy represents how she sees herself. The map is to reveal her path in regaining her life, guarded by the animated dead. As sees herself as dead to the world, yet still living in a minuscule way. The fire is to illuminate the truth of her situation, and is guarded by monsters. She sees herself as deformed and corrupt for not being like others. The knife is a means to cut away the illusions she had created, and is guarded by legion: the many as one. Deep down, Sweet Pea sees herself in all the characters around her. Accepting the knife, the first to go was the first created, her most precious Rocket. At this point, Sweet Pea’s worlds begins to unravel. For the first time in a long time, Sweet Pea is scared. Her illusions try to now protect her. Her oppressor in the form of Blue cuts down her other supporting cast, breaking her spirit in an attempt to get Sweet Pea to retreat again from reality into the safety of illusions. Baby Doll is spared a similar fate because Baby Doll is not Sweet Pea’s creation. Baby Doll is forced upon Sweet Pea, and thus has greater outside importance. Baby Doll is prepared to be sent off to complete her story, but Sweet Pea’s desire for freedom spurs on her liberation. The key, obtained without the glorification of a fantasy, is to help her break free of her own mental prison, guarded by an authority, a power to whom she has submitted. Sweet Pea has seen herself for the longest time as both captive and guard. The final item to obtain was the discovery of the need to sacrifice of Baby Doll, guarded by her own love. She has seen herself as one who can love and who must be loved. By sacrificing Baby Doll, the last of her prison of illusion, Sweet Pea gains the confidence of looking outward, into the uncertainties of reality, for what she needs. In her actual reality, being schizophrenic for such a long time, a return to her full cognitive abilities might have made it easy to her to escape her actual commitment. The final scene in the movie is the only true event in the movie. She is trying to go home. By my logic, you can take the ending as you want. Either the bus driver, possibly met earlier, had come to represent a helpful side character in her illusion, and seeing him again was a coincidence, or the actual bus driver was morphed into one of her side characters, telling her that schizophrenia is not some dream you just wake up from, and that she will be continuously battling her illusion for the rest of her life. This is just my own idea. It is most likely not true, but it makes the movie, at least to me, more interesting.

Film Theory challenge....answer on of the oldest questions in movie history..... Is Rick Deckard a Replicant......Harrison Ford says one thing....Ridley Scott says another
My theory is that the Indominous Rex is nowhere near as smart as everyone treats it as, as everything it does can be explained as regular animal behavior that is only as successful as it is because the humans were all grossly incompetent. Like, the claw marks near the top of the wall were from a previous escape attempt rather than a lure, and it went into stealth mode (which it might not even funny understand that it has, considering that it has never encountered another non-baby member of its species before) because it didn't like its captors, and is escape only succeeded because said captors were too dumb to check the cameras and tracking implant before going in effectively unarmed and opening the only door that was big enough to allow it to pass through. It ripped out the implant later on because it became uncomfortable when it was activated (maybe it got too warm, or messed with some some of its non-human senses, or something like that). And so on, and so forth.
I thought the whole point of Ex-machina was to make us question of Calub is an android or not. He’s giving the test while not realizing he is the subject of the test.

Well that's the same thing as suggesting humans came from a different planet. The Na'vi just evolved to be bipedal but the thing that actually grounds them as natural inhabitants of Pandora are their USBrairds that lets them connect to the other wildlife: it's a very unique trait that seemingly only species of Pandora showcase so why would the Na'vi have it if they are alien
I never got why everyone thought the aliens in signs were that dim. They wanted humans, which you can't get anywhere else. We don't know why, so I just assumed that the risks were justified.
Signs is full of religious iconography and Christian Mythology, to the point where Shyamalan, might as well hit you over the head with a placard saying "this is the apocalypse" There is even a Trident on the movie poster for goodness sake. The often commented fact that the Aliens cannot use doors, explained by the old myth that a demon must be invited in to a home or room and that the ancient enemies of evil are steel, salt, holy water and wood Graham being a recovering alcoholic and on a low sodium diet, again references the a demon can possess those who offer it bread, wine and salt. It goes on an on
I do love the one for signs. But be care making a comment about a allergies to water. There are people out there like that. They have to use other ways to clean them selfs. Other then that loved it all. Thank you.
Number 1 is actually True. All the Signs are there. Even before the end of the Film, they turn the T.V. on and the Broadcaster is stating that People in the Middle East found out a Primitive Method of Defeating the Aliens/ Demons ie. Holy Water. Also, his own Daughter, she's considered an angel, so, every time she drinks from a glass of Water, it becomes Holy.
#7 had me thinking of the Mongolians(or their descendants), coming across to North America, down into what would become These United States, and mixing with the natives, thus creating what we call Native Americans today.
I'm split on the Navi. First, all animals on the planet seem to have 6 limbs.... except the Navi. That would mean they aren't from the evolutionary chain, yet no evidence of any other chain, so they could be from elsewhere. BUT animals have those head thingys they let them bond (sex) with animals (and each other) which makes me think they are from there, I think i'll have to settle on shitty design consistency.
I don’t think Agent Smith was the one but I do think he became a virus after coming into contact with Neo’s matrix code however your argument does have a lot of merit so I could definitely see it being true
JP might be your favourite movie but somehow you confused JW and Fallen kingdom. Yes the indoraptor is part indominus but it was a bit confusing talking about both.
Agent Smith is the previous Matrix's One. The old Matrix's One before this version of the Matrix. And Neo will be the Agent Smith of the Matrix 4 movie.
The feral kid didn’t become Max from furry road. At the end of the road warrior, he turns out to be the narrator. So he knows how to speak in more than grunts. And he becomes the chief of the great northern tribe. The only thing you could say is that maybe max from FR somehow met the northern tribe and was given the music box by the now leader. Kind of a recognition of similar men.
NEO IS the ONE but! when he enters in Agent smith and makes him explode at the last of the 1st movie part of what was HIM. the one, becomes Agent smith, so know there was two "the ONES" or "the one" in two separate entities, one a copy of shadow of the former, this is why Smith had powers over the matrix similar to NEO, and they both need to collide so that essence the soul of Neo returned to him.
Mel Gibson's character in "Signs" was not a lapsed Catholic priest. He wouldn't be able to have a wife if he was. He was a lapsed Reverend, the specific domination was not known.
The Na'vi/Avatar theory is actually good! Descended from ancient aliens who were unsuited for Pandora but had very high BioTech.. they engineered the Na'vi, including their tree-interface (they maybe made the tree too) in order to experience/live their lives on Pandora - effectively, ALL as "Avatars" initially, giving the title new meaning.. Na'vi being sexually viable, as well as having a design a Mind can be downloaded into, they had kids who had their own, natural, minds... generations later, their origins were forgotten, maybe the remaining actual aliens moved on. Explains how dude's Mind could be downloaded into one, and how they had such coordinated control over the wildlife.
1- trinity....is the ONE who WAS...and the first clue...trinity= 3 or holy 3, something like that. 2- neo...is the ONE who IS... means the ONE 3- smith... is the ONE who WILL BE...name smith means basically to hit or strike metal(the machines)...eventually took a turn being the ONE.... check this out...what is the meaning of smith? "The name refers to a smith, originally deriving from smið or smiþ, the Old English term meaning one who works in metal related to the word smitan, the Old English form of smite, which also meant strike (as in early 17th century Biblical English: the verb "to smite" = to hit)." a holy trinity kinda thing, need each other to exist and fulfill the prophecy

@@Richard_Nickerson ok, have a nice day.
1. Neo is the one because that’s his name neo-one letters etc.
2.inception the spinning top isn’t cobbs totem it’s mal”s but doesn’t matter he got to be with his kids dream or not awwwww.
3.mad max theory the actor Hugh Byre played Immogen joe (mm4) and toecutter (mm1) could be the same character.
Awesome video thanks
The Signs theory is more in depth. I recommend everyone look into that one more!
Well this threw me out of sync... I didn't know the Ledge that is Jules was on this channel too!
I thought I'd clicked on the wrong video and then just enjoyed my bonus Jules content!!
Water with special powers? Not unless its laced with LSD.
Is this Jules' channel or a what culture extension. Like it regardless 😉
Damn, telling the people I'm allergic to water as the reason I don't want ice in my soda at drive ins used to be my favorite troll.
Great video, Jules!
Off topic... are you a skateboarder? I only ask because of the Element T shirt. Cheers!
I thought the Signs bit was accepted?
Film Theory challenge....answer on of the oldest questions in movie history.....
Is Rick Deckard a Replicant......Harrison Ford says one thing....Ridley Scott says another
think you've got the Indominus Rex and Indoraptor mixed up Jules!
I thought the more compelling theory concerning the Indominus Rex was that it didn't escape _by itself_ - it had help [dun dun duuuuunn]
I would just like to thank you 😊
I thought the whole point of Ex-machina was to make us question of Calub is an android or not. He’s giving the test while not realizing he is the subject of the test.
These are just the tip of the iceberg on movies with fan theories. Do some more with other genres. Please.
No one going to point out that #3 is talking about 2 different dinos? Indominus Rex, then Indoraptor?
Great video 👍👍! As a fellow TH-camr, I am always looking for new ideas! Good Job!
I feel like this channel should be call WhatcultureTheory Or TheoryCulture, since all the presenters work for Whatculture and are on the various branching channels.
Here's a theory. The Terminator is a prequel to The Matrix.
I had genuinely assumed that the indominus Rex being part human was just canon
Most of these are pretty easy to disprove
To be honest, Signs give me the chills.
The Prestige becomes a Sci Fi movie in the last half an hour
Inception and mad max I'll give you but the rest of these theories have more holes in them than a tea bag.
I call those theories "Swiss cheese theories."
I never got why everyone thought the aliens in signs were that dim. They wanted humans, which you can't get anywhere else. We don't know why, so I just assumed that the risks were justified.
Signs is full of religious iconography and Christian Mythology, to the point where Shyamalan, might as well hit you over the head with a placard saying "this is the apocalypse"
There is even a Trident on the movie poster for goodness sake.
The often commented fact that the Aliens cannot use doors, explained by the old myth that a demon must be invited in to a home or room and that the ancient enemies of evil are steel, salt, holy water and wood
Graham being a recovering alcoholic and on a low sodium diet, again references the a demon can possess those who offer it bread, wine and salt.
It goes on an on
heh almost forgot about this channel
I do love the one for signs. But be care making a comment about a allergies to water. There are people out there like that. They have to use other ways to clean them selfs. Other then that loved it all. Thank you.
Number 1 is actually True. All the Signs are there. Even before the end of the Film, they turn the T.V. on and the Broadcaster is stating that People in the Middle East found out a Primitive Method of Defeating the Aliens/ Demons ie. Holy Water. Also, his own Daughter, she's considered an angel, so, every time she drinks from a glass of Water, it becomes Holy.
Didn't give Matt patt a shout out after making a list of his Chanel thats messed up
What the babadook? Who hasn't watch that dumpster fire and didnt have to rewrite it in real time to keep from walking out on it?
I got a theory, terminator is part of the war between humans and machines, that end up with the creation of the matrix
what about "Avatar" being Space Pocahontas
In avatar, the animals have jacks built into them that match the naavi physiology. They are native.
I thought this was one of those channels that youtube likes to subscribe me to for a moment
Roadhouse
Hmmm did you lot not already make this video with the matrix and neo not being the one.
Smith is the machine's one to counter react the human's one
Signs: Preachers usually aren’t catholic, and catholic priests can’t get married or have kids.
#7 had me thinking of the Mongolians(or their descendants), coming across to North America, down into what would become These United States, and mixing with the natives, thus creating what we call Native Americans today.
Quick...bless the ocean!
I'm split on the Navi. First, all animals on the planet seem to have 6 limbs.... except the Navi. That would mean they aren't from the evolutionary chain, yet no evidence of any other chain, so they could be from elsewhere. BUT animals have those head thingys they let them bond (sex) with animals (and each other) which makes me think they are from there,
I think i'll have to settle on shitty design consistency.
Signs is part of a trilogy. First it's signs then the happening, and lastly it's after Earth. Look it up
You meant Indoraptor, didn't you? lol
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
The aliens in signs are defeated all over the world. I'm pretty sure there weren't priest blessing water all over the place.
9:15 "is a lapsed Catholic priest". Referring to Mel Gibson himself or the role he plays? Because, well you know...
Agent Smith is the previous Matrix's One. The old Matrix's One before this version of the Matrix. And Neo will be the Agent Smith of the Matrix 4 movie.
Shutup lol.. I want to hear nothing of part 4
Was neo born by parents in the matrix?
Hey now.. the title says ten, but the video only has 8!
That's cause of the TH-cam algorithm
Mel Gibson's character in "Signs" was not a lapsed Catholic priest. He wouldn't be able to have a wife if he was. He was a lapsed Reverend, the specific domination was not known.
Jules, I really enjoy your videos whenever you drop the mom "jokes".
It makes me look forward to the next Jules vid, as opposed to avoiding them.
I feel short changed. 8 not 10?
Six versions of the matrix and no prior hovercraft was destroyed? more like the "real world" is inside a matrix.
1- trinity....is the ONE who WAS...and the first clue...trinity= 3 or holy 3, something like that.
2- neo...is the ONE who IS... means the ONE
3- smith... is the ONE who WILL BE...name smith means basically to hit or strike metal(the machines)...eventually took a turn being the ONE....
check this out...what is the meaning of smith?
"The name refers to a smith, originally deriving from smið or smiþ, the Old English term meaning one who works in metal related to the word smitan, the Old English form of smite, which also meant strike (as in early 17th century Biblical English: the verb "to smite" = to hit)."
a holy trinity kinda thing, need each other to exist and fulfill the prophecy
maybe wachowskis were B5 fans or wanted a religious twist
The Fury Road theory doesn't make sense and was coined by people who couldn't accept that it is the same Max.
Indominus rex was pap. You don't give an organism the same latin species name (rex) as its close relative. It annoyed me greatly. Nice idea though, would definitely happen if the Jurassic park technology existed.
Aliens actually being demons would be a much better twist than what we got.
Bruh... Ive seen these already.. Need different movie theories..
I can make Avatar better in 5 seconds
