Agree 100% with the neck issues. Cable-park wakeboarding with helmet - helmet grabs a lot of water upon entry. Seems a very thin helmet (hockey? )might be a balanced alternative.
I always wear one, but wouldnt expect others to unless I was helping someone learn. I do wear work gloves though, had a very nasty cut from a shellfish some years ago...another mm or so deeper would have seen me in A+E
I like and dislike my helmet. I hit sand and face planted 2x. The helmet is light but when I face timed the water the helmets weight added to the pain in my neck
Yes...helmet it's challenging a lot your muscles of the neck specially when you start to try landing triks in blind modality...so you fall pushed from behind...!! P.s. make a topic where you talk about hears protections... Cheers.
When you are the only one wearing a helmet at the beach, you feel there is something wrong with your self. You are the uncool person, the beginner. I am a father of 4 children and I have a responsibility not only to them but also my self - so why not take care of your self and wear a helmet? Why wear a seatbelt in the car? Nothing is going to happen, they are uncomfortable, but we still wear them as they safe lives.

Could certainly be an answer

At last a fantastic and bias free of the reasons to wear or not wear a helmet. :)

Absolutely mate, each to their own on this one, I'm not trying to tell yo which to do, just to give you the arguments as I see them
