Best song of ALL time. Big call, but true. Spine Chilling stuff this. Despite the uploader's ignorance to who is actually singing the female backing vox & will not accept the truth.
we were blessed to grow up in the 80's say a prayer that this time of national original creativity miuic dance and culture comes back to us once again tw!
I often think that maybe this band, performance and song may be the greatest of all time in music history in Australia, such a big call seeing we had the best bands in the whole world.
I love this so much! Anyone who hasn't yet make sure you read James books. Great insight into his life, his demons.and the aussie music scene RIP James Freud ❤
james was writing a song about a confused relationship without doubt.when he says and when the morning comes I wont be around and if you say the word I will always stay. he put more into it than she did.I love that synth break at 2.50 very emotive . barton pryce did a wonderful job on drums.
Hi Hayden - Love is a two way Street - James would have been wise to find new love rather than giving in. Here's a link below to a song especially for you - Regards, Dean Joan Armatrading-Drop The Pilot
Yes that Synth break is great - just don't like the way that Valentine waves a poxy wave to Barton at that point. It is the ONLY low lite on what is one of my absolute favourite songs of all time.
James Freud had such a great voice. In ‘88 when he released his solo album Step Into The Heat, I ran out and bought it just to impress a girl who worshipped him. I really didn’t expect to like the album but it was actually pretty great.
Not sure where this bit came from "Featuring well known female vocalists Kate Ceberano and Wendy Matthews". There certainly is NO Kate Ceberano either in the clip or in the audio recording. Three girls singing in the clip - hence the six legs that get a fair amount of air time - but only one of them is actually singing backing vocals in reality - Wendy.
Please take the time to read, and research the information that I've provided to the same question (see above), prior to any attempt to impart your ignorance upon others - thanks
Dean, you are wrong, 100%. This video and audio do not contain a trace of Kate or Zan. I did take time to "read and research" the information that you have provided and also have taken the time to "read and research" my own information which I stand by to be correct. So before imparting your ignorance, do your own research. For one - watch the remastered version of the Australian Made concert - which unfortunatley this clip is not part of - however Let's Kiss and Out of Mind.. do feature with the same singers. Watch it on a big screen and listen carefully to the live audio on those two songs and you tell me that's Kate and Zan? Nope..
No they weren't. I saw it too. On the liner notes for the CD "Media" it only mentions Wendy Mathews as on vocals. Plus Kate and Zan had their own band performing.
Zan Abeyratne and Kate Ceberano (also had their own band - I'm Talking) both operated as back up singers for the Models. Wendy Matthews is in the middle, Kate is on your left, and Zan is on your right. Here's a link to a video of how they both looked at this period of time with I'm Talking. I'm Talking - Do You Wanna Be
The older I get, the more this (and so many of their other songs) remind me just how good The Models were.

@@Ballterra yep the best song in the entire concert which i just saw on TV . it wasn't in the film yet here it is , i'm confused ? !
Can listen over and over it’s like water
I absolutely love the Models. When you became of Beatfish with Martin Plaza. I was very happy.
Jimmy Freud is one of those guys who had style class talent and humour all rolled into one. RIP champion
Jimmy?!
I hope he is still alive.
I often think that maybe this band, performance and song may be the greatest of all time in music history in Australia, such a big call seeing we had the best bands in the whole world.
100% agree
This song along with maybe 5 other all time Aussie songs are my favourite songs of all time
I love this so much!

Everyone has a different interpretation I guess .The great thing is its wonderful tune and thanks for uploading it.

The studio version has been sped up fractionally to fit with the live performance that was given by the Models that day. This clip is in sync !
RIP ...jAMES

I saw Australian Made in its remastered format at the local cinema, and all 3 were there. Not sure where you're getting your info from champ.
No they weren't. I saw it too. On the liner notes for the CD "Media" it only mentions Wendy Mathews as on vocals. Plus Kate and Zan had their own band performing.
You got it Antipodes, that is spot on true. Kate and Zan ONLY feature on the OOMOOS LP.
Great Australian pop perfection caught perfectly on camera by Rikky Baby!!
...and Julia Gillard on keyboards!
Nice one - Though Roger Mason would probably find that jibe a little below the belt.
I'm sure he has a sense of humor like most of us.
hey what about James valentine on sax ..... great band .. rip james.f
JV is a true wit , the best talent the ABC has !
Did the Angels headline this? If so, I was probably there.
it must have been cut from the film ?
Oh James, what did you do? Your talent was huge, I guess you didn't realize how much we all loved you. You drunken bum xxxx
i think this is a bit fast
i dispute that Kate Ceberano is in this video... Wendy Mathews yes ... which one do you claim is Kate?
Zan Abeyratne and Kate Ceberano (also had their own band - I'm Talking) both operated as back up singers for the Models. Wendy Matthews is in the middle, Kate is on your left, and Zan is on your right. Here's a link to a video of how they both looked at this period of time with I'm Talking.
I'm Talking - Do You Wanna Be
I'm with you Pete - no Ceberano nor Zan. Watch the recently released re-issue of the Australian Made Concert which will confirm this.
Sorry Pete, that was a typo.. My bad. Have now corrected comment to confirm "I'm with Pete" - certainly not "gimmyed" (aka Dean).
I was there, Barnesy was the highlight of the day
Question is the entire concert on video somewhere by any chance
Drummer?
why d
Do I spy Wendy Mathews. Still hot with grey hair now.
