    It’s so dope you chose What What to set it off cuz it definitely sets the tone and atmosphere perfectly for the rest of the mix.       It has only been 30 years bro. Come back in 150 years and tell me whether it "never" dies. Even even then that is a tiny amount of time in the big picture. Everything human dies, and I doubt a music genre that didn't even involve the listeners will fare well. Some folk music has survived a long time because people passed it down person to person and they actually sang the songs and were involved with the music. We will see if people are still interested I'm sitting and listening to music from the 20th Century come the year 2300AD. People from the Middle Ages probably thought their music was pretty badass too. Although to be honest there are some pieces from that period that are still listened to and performed and hold up pretty well. But not many.

    As a Serbian kid i grew up listening to BDP and KRS-1, Gangstarr, went to see Public Enemy at 15, EpMd, Tribe Called Quest, Black Moon, Wu Tang, Das EFX, Pete Rock CL Smooth, Bid Daddy Kane, Eric B and Rakim... to name a few. Much respect, takes to nostalgic place - thank you....

    I grew up with this,growing up in Belgium,E.U.....Back then the only source we had there was YoMTVraps...thats it...and like the timing of broadcasting was meant for the U.S. ....we had to stay up till 2 a clok at night to watch it lol...Hip Hop was fabulous back then...The Pharcyte,A tribe called quest,Gangstar, Naughty by nature.....my maxell tapes were my treasure man loool

    Man i love this type of older east coast stuff. Grew up hearing it all the time in ny. They all have such a cold classy vibe. Great winter music, west coast has much more of a summer type vibe but i fw it all really. Blazed tf up rambling on yt 😂😂

    How did we go from this, to what we have now. Such a big change which deviates from what hip hop actually is/was, which was hard hitting lyrics highlighting hardships of life, with beautiful jazz or funk samples. I wish modern rap was like this.
