Yes, you can use the performance pads by selecting the sampler button on your controller. Check the gain (marked sampler ) on your controller or look at the gain on Serato by the sampler section on the screen.

Great vid! Very informative. After setting up my A bank (all 8), I put the computer to sleep.. when returning (2hrs later) the samples were gone. Didn’t have time to diagnose why (looking at it when I get back home). Any reason that you’re aware of why they wouldn’t have saved? Thnx!
Did you just put the computer to sleep without shutting down Serato? If it do it again try this - shut Serato down, go to the music folder for Serato, find the file (database V2), don’t delete it yet just move it to the desk top. Open Serato once you move it ( it will take a while to load because it’s creating a new database). Load your effects then shut down Serato and open it back up and it should be saved. Hope that helps.

You might need to use another music software to do some editing to track the mix. I haven't done track in a while. I wish Serato would do some sort of update that would track songs. As of now, Virtual DJ is probably one of the only DJ software that tracks songs for recording.
Thanks, I understood all of that, now can I map these effects to my keypad on my controller. I am using the Rane One controller and I would like to map my drops and effects to the SAMPLER pads. My goal is to drop effects and dj drops while im in the mix by simply hitting a keypad
You can set up cue points by setting the song in the position that you want the cue point or cue points to be, then you can set your cue from your laptop - One on your laptop for the first 2.2 on the laptop and the second key point and so on. If you’re doing it while plugged up to your controller you can set the queue points by pressing the keypad once you set the song to the position where you want the key point to be. Hope that helps.

Try Fiverr. I just got a DJ drop done on their last month. There are plenty of people that’s doing DJ drops now. Some of them you can get done within 24 hours.
As far as DJ Drops - I've had different people (my sister, one of my clients and others) to do voice overs for me. As far as the effects - some I've made myself or download it from other places ( TH-cam & other websites etc.).
If I'm understanding your question right you want to know how to reset the sounds that was in the effects Banks. Once you open Serato with your Hardware plugged up to your laptop you can click on FX and then you can click on the drop-down box under each FX. Then you can select the FX that you want for that bank. Hope this helps.
Ok first off love the video 👌 now when I'm in my sample bank and I trigger a sample and want to switch to another bank while the last one is playing it cuts the previous one off is there a way I can stop that from happening 🙏 thanks in advance
I just did the same thing a few months back. I just recorded it on my iPhone and sent it to my email then save it into Serato. The other way is to use Serato and record it directly then save and drag it to the sample bank where you want it to be stored.
Well I use all programs they all do the same damn thing only thing they did is update the software to change the pictures add a little effects people want to hear that music some people trying to keep up the Joneses where does wasting money we supposed to be DJing not trying to turn the DJ equipment into the studio nice easy work my Grandmaster DJ hidden sink that's why I tried to do different things because things is changing I ain't complaining I did my 40 years now it's better than carrying a whole bunch of crates around every day but I still love my 12-in records out the computer I'll go out and show people I still can do it people love the turntable beautiful sounds it's a good feeling

Some drops I’ve made myself. I’ve also asked people that I know that have a good speaking voice then I did the editing and add effects after. That way it’s all original.
You have to unzip the file then save the drops to the computer. Then you can drag and drop the (drop) where you want them to be loaded. You will need to analyze and set cue points for each drop that you load.

I had to look at output buttons on the right side. 1/2. I had to push 1 for left side and 2 for the right side of the fader

After you hit record in Serato, move you mouse to a song and highlight it , then you should be able to trigger your sound effects.

The only way to get effects on a mic is to have a FX processor with the mic ran into it and then into your controller or mixer.
