Jared Dowty Not sure if i understand you correctly and i apologize in advance, but Hannes did not play drums on Akroasis, Sebastian Lanser did, which also is their current drummer.
@@mrdeathamoreyeah cause they play different kinds of music, Sean reinert was originally a jazz drummer that got involved in metal so he brought his own little jazz flavor on the death metal records he played in, both of them are phenomenal in the fields they play in and they are both fantastic drummers.
Elias Simon he's probably talking about the wincing in the beginning. I do that when I hear amazing music that I'm very invested in. That's likely what's happening here
+colonelbuttcustard i know what you mean.. Hannes is a great drummer, no doubt.. But Alex is simply a beast at technique and precision also timing as well.. It sounds clearer when he plays
Someone called Hannes overrated? This dude imo is best extreme metal drummer.
Dude is the godfather of modern tech death drumming.
0:11 super subtle and most people who aren't super into drums or drum composition won't notice but that is an INSANE polyrhythm lol
Weltseele has a few man. Good ol Tommy boi
Jared Dowty Not sure if i understand you correctly and i apologize in advance, but Hannes did not play drums on Akroasis, Sebastian Lanser did, which also is their current drummer.
@Jared Dowty also of course on a song like Solar Fire Cells which was originally written for Obscura
@@svennerick rip sorry u don't like him but you do you I guess?
Hannes Grossman's drumming is insane overall, but let's not piss our knickers on straight double bass sextuplets as "insane polyrhythm lol", yes?
best drummer in the world.
Yes Hannes Grossmann ia the best drummer in the whole genre of Metal.
Zane Menke no tan asi pero si es exelente, not the whole genre but yes he is great a lot of control, good
ha. no.
+Kyle Cleveland Ha. Yes.
Zane Menke alex rudinger covered this and destroyed it btw. And he's nowhere near the best drummer. This dudes alright but come on.
Kyle Cleveland I agree he is not the best in terms of pure talent but he creates incredibly catchy and memorable drumming, unlike some tech drummers.
great drummer? or simply the best ever?
Great drummer and i love that snare sound!!
omg i faking love blast beats i could listen to it 24 hours until my head would explode
Splendid!
He makes it look so easy!
in my opinion the best metal drummer ever
Great snare sound for blasting the shit out of it !
The quintuplets in the first fill wow.
marco minnemann in necro is still my top but this dude lays it down
Are those 24" kicks? It looks so big! Or Mr. Grossman a small person. Anyone knows this setup?
This guy sounds heavily influenced by Sean Reinert!
+Aaron Duckett Reinert is a lot more tasteful drummer. just flawless all around I'd say.
+Leonid Isachenko You really have something against Hannes don't you.
+Deathbyblackhole Overrated. The only word I can say towards him. No hate at all.
+Leonid Isachenko he is also a guitarist and a composer. Probably plays bass too
@@mrdeathamoreyeah cause they play different kinds of music, Sean reinert was originally a jazz drummer that got involved in metal so he brought his own little jazz flavor on the death metal records he played in, both of them are phenomenal in the fields they play in and they are both fantastic drummers.
1:42 they play it differently...🤔
word
Well that was sweet .. really heated up at the end
0:42 he drop the left stick! HAHA no one take for u
3:31
Wow, Grossman's actually having trouble keeping up with some of those blasts. I'm surprised since he's such an amazing drummer.
no one plays their own songs %100 anymore hell, gene hoglan fucks up crystal mountain from time to time
I noticed that too! Im surprised because he is a fucking god on drums!
You're right. I'm surprised to, but maybe he had a long drum session before the recording.
+Dr. Hylian Huh? Where?
Elias Simon he's probably talking about the wincing in the beginning.
I do that when I hear amazing music that I'm very invested in.
That's likely what's happening here
Blastomatic is what I say with the fckn dope ass fills and all the off time beats with the feet this guy Is definetly amazing asf
I wonder how many people would ever be able to cover this... properly...
alex rudinger did it flawlessly.
+Michael Hill not flawless but really close
+Michael Hill No he didn't...
+Michael Hill Pretty accurate, but far from flawless.
well excuse the hell out of me, all over the place
So do you like... practice a lot, or what?
Nero Vuk underrated as fuck
That snare sounds a bit out of place.
doesnt it tho
Ehhh im thinkin Lyle Cooper, but hey thats jus my opinion lol
Great drumming. Snare sounds awful though
this is not one take, is it :)
Great drummer, great song, but what a horrible snare sound haha
feel and technique are not related, you can't play music if you don't know technique
i know i'm about to get flamed hard for this, but..
i think alex rudinger plays this song better, which is sad because hannes wrote these parts xD
+colonelbuttcustard Feel the same way about when he filled on The Faceless.
+colonelbuttcustard i know what you mean.. Hannes is a great drummer, no doubt.. But Alex is simply a beast at technique and precision also timing as well.. It sounds clearer when he plays
+LimpBizkitDrummer How can you even compare a pro recording with Nolly to this... Besides, Hannes' blasts are way more intense.
colonelbuttcustard Hanes does more improvisational fills, even though he wrote it.
Alex was going for studio perfection with his video.
I can definitely agree to an extent. Hannes has gotten A LOT better with his blast beats in recent memory.
