Hey Guys, it's B Buff in Kansas City MO. Just wanted to clarify a few things for you and the other subscribers. First, I bought my HD 750 Street Rod in July 2017. It's identical to the one in the video. I've been riding Japanese sport bikes since 1979 when I bought my 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 Z1r, 90 HP and 535 LBS. The 2017 HD 750 Street Rod is 525 LBS and 68 HP. I live exactly one mile from the KCMO Harley Davidson manufacturing plant. The plant closed last summer 2019. During the last 2 years of the HD plant operation, they manufactured and built................are you ready???...........the Harley Davidson 750 Street Rod motorcycle that is featured in this, and every other TH-cam video about the 750 Street Rod made for the AMERICAN market. USA made, and USA built. Anyway, I said I would always buy a Harley if they ever produced a motorcycle with similar characteristics and performance of a Japanese sport bike, and well guess what, they did!! So.............TH-camrs, don't knock what you don't know. It's actually a pretty good bike.
Your still underestimating it, after Hi Flow VH exhaust and air flow with exhaust wrap (around the gaurd), seat heat gaurd, and seat padding and adjustment, it becomes quite in the competition of the bigger harleys with the same throttle smoothness. Mine now sounds like a harley and is a monster! Changing that slip exhaust takes off about 5lbs and then add about 4 more horsepower It then becomes very stable at 90mph I was looking to get a bigger harley but now I'm not, because I have the smoothness and power I wanted plus better lean angle with less cost; can't be beat. Stop popping wheelies, it's a better quality bike than that.
Thanks, it is truly inspiring to see you perform the stunts that you do as it lends promise that some of things that aren't often done by some are doable.
Not something we'd be interested in but it definitely has some cool attributes. Thanks for enabling us to experience it vicariously through Jon's Moto Garage. 😎 👨👩👧 ❤
I found a used Harley Street Rod with only 350 miles on it for 3500.00, and bought it. I was totally impressed with what it was. It wasn't the traditional Harley and it wasn't the most comfortable bike I ever rode, but it was a fun bike to ride! I ended up selling it and have regretted it ever since!
I have had my 750 Street Rod for 2 plus years now, and the two mods I have made are Vance and Hines slip on muffler ( Muffler HA!!) and Vance and Hines tail delete. It's Loud and Proud and quite sexy now.
Michael Mitchell Me too! The world is so much bigger than just one kind of bike. After all, it's a frame, an engine and a couple of wheels...the ride is the quality of the bike.
This is making me want one of these bikes mainly to teach my girlfriend to ride but now also after watching the video to rip on myself and not worry about trashing my bike.
Looking for this exact front rim. If you have.. I will buy. Me and my gf were in accident on my birthday this past June 4th. A guys dog ran out in the front road and we killed dog instantly and flipped over the handlebars . Rims bent and shifter broke and a few scratches down the tank and tail .
Bro, how is it regarding heat? I’ve heard a few comments about how hot it gets between the legs, being your legs so close to the motor. Awesome review btw!
Sport bikes are plenty comfortable. The MT/FZ series, Monsters, Hyper Motards, CBs, Dukes, GSX-s-S etc are all easy on your body. Race replicas are another story. Interesting bike. Will be a fit for some but for me it falls short. I hope the upcoming Bronx is better thought out and better executed.
Yeah, the mt/fz/xsr, etc are all great options. No doubt more comfortable than the street rod. On paper, there's not much about this bike that makes sense over the other options. Lol. But it's a fun bike nonetheless. Always nice to have options. I'm looking forward to the bronx as well.
Damn bro your bike skills are getting even better. Just please always be aware of your surroundings. Double look. You know.. you are always safe and steady, keep it up bro. 1 wheel that is. Ride Safe Keep Braaaaapin!!
Always thought they looked goofy. Never gave them any thought. But looks like a fun bike. I think if you did a tank lift it would look a lot better. Nice wheelie!
I really like the way it looks! It needs some better sounding pipes though. The absolute best sounding bike IMHO is the old Harley Pan Head. Keep the vids coming.
Jon's Moto Garage I read somewhere that the sprocket may need changing from the factory one to be able to wheelie it. If it can be done I’m sure you got it. Great vids bro, keep them coming.
With it being tax time you should do a video about making money from selling motorcycles and taxes and/or a video about being monitized and doing taxes... maybe all in one video
Most negative comments are from people who never have ridden one!! Street Rod is the most fun bike that HD makes but people just love to hate on it cause it's not made in USA but that's is why it's cheep and affordable!! Just needs a race pipe!! Try a new SV650 if U wanna try another fun cheep and cheerful bike!!
Why are you always doing a wheelie in your neighbourhood. You must be a very annoying neighbour man. No respect for quiet and safety of others. Just saying.....
Because shadows are boring. The street rod has alot more character. Not to say a shadow isn't a great bike. But meh, they are so bland. I'm a fan of magna's and valkyries as far as honda cruisers go
Since he buys and sells bikes for a side job. I'm guessing he got a really smoking deal or maybe he or his wife wanted that one. John is a business savy guy but either way he can buy whatever he wants because it's his $
@@GrizzlyDipper614 Maybe because the Street Rod is faster, handles better, and won't slow roast your sack on a hot day? There's a lot of reasons...and don't tell me I'm biased, I ride a 1200 Sporty.

Keep Pumping those Street Rod videos, it's good to finally see someone who gets it! Any mods in the future?
no mods planned, but i'll get some vids out for sure! thx, brotha!
I agree with pjc719. I've watched several videos of this model, but they're ALL a one-off. I'd also like to see ongoing reviews.
I have had my 750 Street Rod for 2 plus years now, and the two mods I have made are Vance and Hines slip on muffler ( Muffler HA!!) and Vance and Hines tail delete. It's Loud and Proud and quite sexy now.
What is the tail delete?
Guys do you think this is an OK beginner bike and would fit someone who is 6ft1? Or no no ? 👍
I heard the vulcan s bikes are quick!... I love all motorcycles, I like the variety you show on your channel Jon
Thanks! I can now say from experience the vulcan s is FAST! lol
Michael Mitchell Me too! The world is so much bigger than just one kind of bike. After all, it's a frame, an engine and a couple of wheels...the ride is the quality of the bike.
I have a 2017, I love it, just put a stage one on it this winter and looking forward to getting it out on the road again
You're killing me, I've been obsessed with these now. The sound is hard to get used to, but I'm coming into it. Lol sounds good with a few revs.
There are lots of critics from people who don't ride or haven't ridden this model. I think it is great and I am glad Harley-Davidson make it.
Road one of these..and had a blast..quick ,nibble, and fast...
Glad to see you enjoying your new ride 🤘🏻
This is making me want one of these bikes mainly to teach my girlfriend to ride but now also after watching the video to rip on myself and not worry about trashing my bike.
Would this be a good first bike for someone fresh out the mss course ?
Am thinking of getting one.....tho the reliability?
That street rod 750 sounds awesome with a good muffler.
Sounds even better without one. Just leave the cat and remove the muffler and its godly sounding. Mean gunshot like pops on deceleration
Heck yeah!
Lot of people fit the street 750 controls, only 4 inches further forward but looks like I makes a huge difference.
Hey Jon... does yours have the ABS option installed?
Looking for this exact front rim. If you have.. I will buy.

Thanks, brotha! progressing slowly but surely. lol
That's the kind of bike I'd puts screws in the tires and take it up to minnesota and race on frozen lakes. bucket list activity for me.
Always thought they looked goofy. Never gave them any thought. But looks like a fun bike. I think if you did a tank lift it would look a lot better. Nice wheelie!
I was thinking the same with the tank lift. The lines are quite bizarre.
You should do a video on what happened to the fz07
Word! I'll get one out!😎👍
Thanks Jackie!
This should be Jackie's second bike ;)
Heck yeah! She likes it!
I really like the way it looks! It needs some better sounding pipes though. The absolute best sounding bike IMHO is the old Harley Pan Head. Keep the vids coming.
It looks like that bike went right along for you
Definitely a good fit!
What's up with that tank?
😎👍hi bro nice stuff as always
Dude you look quiiiick on that thing. Also seems kinda hard to put up on 1 wheel.
Vulcan 650s wheelies plz!!!!
I got a 2017 cafe and having been trying to find videos of one doing wheelies, to no avail :-(
I'm confident its possible... just gotta spend some time working on it. Vid to come!
Jon's Moto Garage I read somewhere that the sprocket may need changing from the factory one to be able to wheelie it. If it can be done I’m sure you got it. Great vids bro, keep them coming.
Great video man dude I don’t think there’s a bike that you couldn’t wheelie on
Hahaha! Thanks, brotha!
But can you do a stoppie on it??
Sorta reminds me of a baby vrod
Demo the Triumph Speed Twin
I locked up the rear brake just looking at the pedal on one of them.. 😳
lol
look kids...i'm riding dangerous 😂
On paper, this engine should be able to beat the crap out of the old XR-750 dirt track motor.
dope
I like it
With it being tax time you should do a video about making money from selling motorcycles and taxes and/or a video about being monitized and doing taxes... maybe all in one video
I'll add it to the list. Only problem is I may not be able to make it entertaining enough. Lol.

I came close to getting the new sv650 about a year ago but it didn't pan out. I'll keep an eye out!
Why are you always doing a wheelie in your neighbourhood. You must be a very annoying neighbour man. No respect for quiet and safety of others. Just saying.....
What kind of nerd calls a wheelie a one wheel lol
Lol. The kind who tries to avoid getting their videos demonitized for tossing around the word "wheelie" in the vid.
@@JonsMotoGarage nice! Lol
First
Why get a 750 Harley when you can just buy a shadow cheaper
Maybe he got a great deal on this one? Or maybe he liked it , so he bought it. Idk
Because shadows are boring. The street rod has alot more character. Not to say a shadow isn't a great bike. But meh, they are so bland. I'm a fan of magna's and valkyries as far as honda cruisers go
My question is Why get a Street rod 750, When the Iron 883 (A REAL HARLEY!) is the same price???
Since he buys and sells bikes for a side job. I'm guessing he got a really smoking deal or maybe he or his wife wanted that one. John is a business savy guy but either way he can buy whatever he wants because it's his $
