I have another night's party cut and ready to upload but too many songs have licensing issues that I need to cut out of the mix that affect the progression :-/

Thanks man. Really appreciate the comment, especially right now where DJing hasn’t really been at the forefront of my mind. Definitely have a huge backlog of tunes yet to play, so will get a lot more of these parties going again, now that people can congregate on a single dancefloor again.

Thanks for the reply, and not to guilt you into a youtube conversation, but I just need to say a few things to give you context.
I recently had "a euphoric experience", for the first time in a while. (I'm 39 now, married with 2 kids) I too was an aspiring dj, once upon a time, and I was craving a good beat, so I simply searched "house party live set" into youtube, in an attempt to relive my past, those feelings of music and lights and love. I stumbled on your videos, and was immediately taken back. Those same vibes and that same love. It was an amazing night for me.
I still have a fairly outdated setup that I never play anymore, but watching and listening to you has inspired me to dust off the decks (or upgrade completely), get some new music, and get back to grooving on some shit like this on a regular basis. It makes me happy, it always has! Music is my passion! (Particularly some good progressive house or drum and bass)
I looked you up (sorry if that's creepy) because I was curious. Those videos and the music and your demeanor were just very profound to me at the time. I was not surprised when I saw what a dynamic person you really are. World traveler. Filmmaker. Photographer. A true adventurer, living your best life. I just wanted to both congratulate you and thank you for having a positive impact in my life, whether you know it or not. I think it's important to share the love whenever possible, especially in these crazy times. I hope you are well and continuing to pursue your dreams.

Hahaha. Dead set, the party after this one (Part 1 is already online - psychedelic 70s), a drunk girl leaned in and hit the pause button. I was furious and had her banished. But it's a catch 22, as I love people up in the booth partying with me. Surprisingly, it's only ever happened once!
I also like it when there are ppl in the booth with me. Now I want to see your reaction towards this girl. Haha.

Jesus calm your farm mate, I was out on the weekend as I actually do things rather than just sit online 24-7.
So I've gone through my youtube and found that there's copyright issues from one of the songs in the mix, and the label won't allow it to be played on mobile devices. You can still listen from a desktop, just not a phone.
Seriously man. Don't be a dickhead. I'm just making music and sharing it for no other reason than the love of the genre. You don't have a right to lose your shit over me not responding to you in 3 days.

I see Format:B - Chunky was muted at 9:28 presumably for copyright. I actually first heard that track on this mix years ago and liked it so much I bought it. If I hadn't have heard that song on this mix, I never would have bought it.
Such a shame the people in charge of the copyright striking think the best way to make money is to reduce the songs exposure... it's their loss, the artists loss, and and ours as well.
I know man. I’m the same. So many tracks are discovered globally from who’s playing them, the whole Dj scene is built around playing other peoples tracks. I don’t know why it’s so strict. But a real shame nonetheless.
@@AndrewNorthover Exactly. When I first started DJing, and even now actually, I find most of the songs I buy from listening to mixes from other DJ's, yourself included lol.
It would be like a video game company striking videos of people playing their games. It's basically free advertising, I just don't get it.
The more underground you get with the music the less of a problem this is though. Less greedy labels forcing decisions like this, people are generally in it more for the music than the money.
@@underatedstar Yeah it's extra shit because the notification I get on youtube tells a bit more of the story. Chunky, is released on SoulStar Records, but the distributor is either Warner Music Group (WMG) or another, i can't remember but warner give me the most strife.
It actually seems a bit disconnected from the artist or their associated label, and instead is very automated. But even an appeal goes straight to deny, as it's a humanless transaction and it's set to 100% decline all appeals unless you're the verified content owner.
You'll have noticed i rarely post mixes lately. I've got 50+ hours of mixes from these parties recorded, but so sick of uploading them and getting mute or region blocks.
@@AndrewNorthover People seem to have more luck over on Soundcloud with mixes, I've very rarely seen anything get taken down but of course the user base isn't as massive.
You're right about it being disconnected from the artists, I've seen a few cases where people have contacted the original artists and asked what's up and they didn't have any clue.
Like I said before though, it sucks for everyone involved. Even the record labels in the long run. Don't be disheartened by it, there's at least one guy out there who's been listening to your mixes for years and I still do today 👌

Yeah Soundcloud is rock solid, but the cost is too high. On a free account I can only post 60 minutes. The paid account is just too much money per annum for the 200 listens Annually I get on there.

Just record your mix and the sound will be clear. Then mix the sound on the Video edit with some parts of the camera record. Or use some stock audio to give the sensation of crowd.

well.. I saw this video a few days ago .. And I am disappointed from this crowd too... but the music - is still good.. i see drunk woman and a guy that touching one of the dancers at wrong way.. I think the music goes behind the scene just because of the public..this is disrespect in my opinion!
