Classic Car Rally [4K] Yorkshire Rover Club

- Hello again and thank you for visiting the channel.
Todays video was filmed in Gommersal which is located in West Yorkshire in the UK.
I was kindly invited along to film at The Yorkshire Rover Car Owners Club for their Car Rally which was held in the beautiful grounds of Oakwell Hall.
They are a Yorkshire based group of Rover owners who meet in order to share their love of these fine motor vehicles. As their name suggests they are primarily a Rover club, but as you can see on this video they do also welcome owners of any classic cars.
All I can say is WOW as to how well organised the event was, fantastic club members and volunteers plus the turn out by all the car owners was wonderful. It isn’t quite as large as some other Car shows but it was a much more intimate rally with more than enough cars to view and enjoy.
Everyone at the event were extremely friendly and so enthusiastic to chat about the cars on display with so much knowledge and only too keen to answer any questions or show you around.
A massive thank you to Ken, Andrew and all the Club members for the warm welcome and who helped make this wonderful car rally possible and also to all the car owners who made the event what it was.

I am not sure if you noticed but we were using a new camera, the Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX and a new Gimbal the Zhiyun Weebill 3 Combo.
So my apologies if some of the shots were slightly out of focus and perhaps not pointing quite where it was supposed to lol as it was the first outing using the new equipment for myself and camera person.
Also my new mics didn’t arrive in time for the event either, so there was a lot more background noise with having to use the onboard mic so I had to play around a little during the edit with the GAIN etc to make it so you could just about hear what we were saying so my apologies if the audio wasn’t quite right with all the unwanted audio.
I now have the new microphones so that the sound will be a lot better next time.

Thank you @outdoorstours I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I just wish my microphones had arrived in time as the audio let it down during the interviews. Plus my camera person was still trying to get used to the new camera and gimbal lol

Wow these cars are really cool...
Yeah they are and a lot older than I originally thought lol. Some were about 90 years old which is crazy.

Yes indeed! It was a bit different as the grounds of Oakwell Hall were so nice plus it was a more intimate car show as sometimes they can be too big with too many cars, so you got to appreciate every single one of them on this one. Lovely owners too, who were very friendly and keen to discuss their pride and joy

Hi @anghelpaul84 thank you for watching. Yes there were some recognisable classic cars there and also some I haven’t ever seen before which was nice. Lovely location in the grounds of Oakwell Hall also to hold the event and the weather was perfect.

Hi Stephen, Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I wish my new mics had arrived in time as the audio was a bit poor in places but now have them woohooo lol. Yes there were some fantastic cars, some I didn’t think were classics yet, then I double checked how old they were and hold I am and yes they are classics LOL. Your Karoq will be a classic but the problem is you don’t keep them long enough LOL. Me neither but will pick a car to keep one day although I think I need a camper van with all this travelling. Got some good video’s coming up although for your taste I do need to go to some more events so I can speak to people rather than just purely flying everywhere lol
@@flywithmetrevor Yes, i thought the sound quality was a little low in places, but with your new Mics there'll be no stopping you now! It's always good to listen to people that own these vehicles and get their take on things and give a little history on them. Good luck with future content Trev, keep up the good work.

Ooh I love the classic cars, interesting video. Loved it, but you confused me on the location as Oakwell is in Birstall, I thought it was me looking at it wrong but overall brilliant video
Thanks @dronewithmeuk I appreciate you watching and commenting again. This video was a little different and a bit of a practice outing with some new camera gear. You can see we were still learning as it went out of focus a few times plus the new microphones didn’t arrive in time hence the poor audio but did our best on the day. Will do more of them if they are popular.
@@flywithmetrevor i noticed but I wouldn’t pay that much for camera unless it filmed itself, I prefer the G7
But overall you did well with it, I use the G7 and a ronin but I film somewhat different themes and not for Utube
@@Gkofilms lol I know what you mean but I have been enjoying learning photography and videography so hopefully I will get my moneys worth lol
@@Gkofilms I am still learning different things, styles, seeing what works and what doesn’t lol. I love using the DJI Pocket 2 also as it’s great for certain things with it being so discreet. The scenes where I wasn’t on camera you can tell when I was trying to see what the Gimbal and cam can do. My camera person it was their first time using it so only just started to get the hang of things towards the end of the event lol.
