I always hire the best possible people in every position regardless if I think they massively help the team.
Honestly never use the technical director, they will hire physios with below 15 physiotherapy rating and pay 300k compensation whilst doing it. Takes like 10 seconds to find most good staff members, apart from that great video again Jake 👍🏻
Whenever I start with a new team, this is the 1st thing I look at. I build from the ground up foundations start with the best backroom staff you can get around you.
A good physiotherapist really makes a difference.
Smaller teams cant afford to have players out too long injured as its harder to get new players in.
In my non league saves i think the physio is probably the MOST important staff member
Had a fantastic loan manager on paper, had him in charge of development loans - was absolutely useless. Couldn't find loans at all
It's bugged in my game in FM23. I have to get to 5 rep before my loan manager could do his job
They're useless. They also reject all the good loan offers so you actually end up not loaning people out! I never use them.

Thanks for sharing! I am managing an Oberliga club (5th tier) in Germany, managed to get professional football in 3.Liga.I don't use the technical director, I like to pick my own team. About a sports scientist it is new, never heard about it, will try it. The "developing" menu...I have been using it since last season. Although my youngsters are c**p, I invest in several other youngsters that are not good for them but quite interesting for a 3.tier team...so I loan them a lot. My director of football is crap but quite helpful in this. Would it be useful to have a loan manager here?

Theres a huge lack of high quality set piece coaches in the game, and if you get a good one they'll get poached within a season. Best method Ive found is employing a regular coach with high set pieces and motivating and then putting them on a crazy contract (currently on £30k per week) to keep other clubs from stealing them. My team scores probably 15-25 set pieces a season so its working well.
Giving them the longest possible contract helps to push down their wages by around 20 to 30 percent and keeps other clubs from poaching them... works for me at least...

I used to use a technical director til he wanted my job or something and let go of every incredible staff member I had and of course, I couldn't get them back
Are the ‘DDM’ ratings still as important as they used to be?, I noticed your staff had high attributes in what they trained but fairly weak in the DDM ratings.
Annoyingly there aren’t any good set piece coaches in the game that also has the other relevant states required to make them 4 to 5 star.
Loan manager for me, just doesn’t work because offers are auto rejected. I find offering out players on loan yourself gets you better results.

I've been playing fm24 for time now and am doing a West ham save and am 6 games in and I can't even beat Burnley any tips (I lost 3-0)
Take things slow, don't try to rush through the season in order to play matches as fast as possible, look at your players and think of a tactic, fine tune it in game while watching the full match, don't save scam, losing is part of the game and with West Ham you are not supposed to be easily winning every match in the Prem. FM is about patience, if you notice that you are getting bored take a break and come back. Also don't copy youtubers, most of the time the FM youtubers know how to exploit the game perfectly and/or save scam to make content.
When i manage a lower league club im lucky if i get any rating over 10 its so hard to build a good backroom at lower level

If i load up eny club but lets say i Pick Arsenal. Put Down a tactic and holiday it to dec to test if its eny good. If it was really good and i had like 1 lost 2 draw rest win and all games had like 2.5 goals. And i restart the save to Play it and i spend like 3 hours improve staff and all that before i push Play i end up with a really bad games with like 3 lose 6draw and much less wins. So, and i did kinda did test it Cuz it happend alot. So the more i do the first day/week the worst the team Play?🧐😅
Tactics work completely differently when simmed compared to when you actually play. It’s why you see so many asymmetrical tactics with people who play their games rather than people who sim them with a standard 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 etc. best advice would be to set up a tactic you like the look of and then use the analysis hub to check average positions, passing lanes etc to figure out what can be changed and how to improve and just tweak things over time until you find something that works for you
Loan managers are shit. I delegated the development loans to mine and he kept rejecting every loan offer. I had to take over again as we weren't loaning out any of our listed players.
Neither my technical director nor my General Manger would ever fill out my B team staff through over a dozen playthroughs.
They wouldnt even recommend B team staff for me to sign when I took control.
I have purchased every release of FM since I started playing in 2018, but if they dont fix youth coaching and development I may quit for a while and play some other stuff thats been collecting dust while i wasted time on FM.
I feel the better your hoyd is the players are poorer as you go further in the game.
what do you mean mate? you think that if you have a good HOYD, your intakes will worsen as time goes on?
That's what I learnt in the game went to a top team, got everything to a high level and seven seasons I had a below average intake
Same issues with mine,little hack I found a few days ago,I forgot to save and come out of it,my best rating was GK at C,loaded it up,played a week,it popped up again and the GK and CB we’re both A’s lol
You would have a below average intake because your team is full of superstars. If you put the exact same youth intake into a lower league side they would be just shy of a golden generation. Imagine you had Ronaldo Messi lewandowski benzema Salah in your side.. a 16 Yr old compared to them are only going to show 2 stars. But put them at Lincoln City they will be 4 stars
There appears to be a hidden glitch that punishes you for playing with a team of signed players as opposed to homegrown talent.
Several have said the only way to get consistently good intakes is to make sure at least half of your starting 11 is homegrown talent.
If not, it doesn't matter if your HOYD, recruitment, and facilities are maxxed out.
