Tbh there is no "replacement" to Destiny for me. Destiny has been the only game i've ever played (D1 and D2) where i can just play for hours on end and never get bored. I still play other stuff ofcourse, but if Destiny truly dies, i have no intention of replacing it with anything.
Absolutely fair. And yeah Destiny has long felt like home so it's impossible to replace, but if we get longer content draughts it's also nice to have other options during downtimes

Been on Helldivers 2 since the game launched in February. Quite fun, sure the game loop gets repetitive, and once your are capped on resources it can get stale but at the same time, the community is very helpful and you can meet some awesome people. Im 500hrs in and still having fun. New content drops Aug6 and a warbond on the 8th. Very much a casual friendly game
i mean, how you just framed helldivers too, is literally what content voids in destiny feel like, and what it felt like whenever there was no real endgame content in d2 for years lol.
Our whole fireteam moved together to Fortnite back in Nov of last year when Pete Parsons first pulled his shenanigans. We’ve been having a blast with Fortnite. 👍
I already started moving on after Final Shape campaign. I always cycle between three games. Monster Hunter, Warframe, and one other to occupy my time. New Monster Hunter comes out next year so i have some business left in Rise. Warframe 1999 is coming out so thats gonna be fun. And finally the third game keeps changing. So its currently pokemon. New ones coming out next year so yeah. Im moving on. But destiny will never be forgotten. Gonna make a little shrine display so i never forget a game that was a huge part of my life.
I'll probably still jump back into Destiny when I feel like it, but yeah I do the same thing with game rotation. Definitely excited about Monster Hunter Wilds tho

destiny is/was for most of us our "main game" but to say they made it hard to move away is not correct. i dont know when u started to play or how your journey was, but when u started with D1 and moved to D2 there is no chance any1 would say: yeah, thats good. no random rolls, no fucking anything at all after they left D1 in quite a good state. thats where i went to warframe. now i have 1700 login days into warframe, 14000h into destiny (D1andD2) according to timewasted on destiny. so yeah its a great alternative and what is worth pointing out is, that warframe is the REAL and only game which should be allowed to call himself free to play. all other games just use this term to funnel player. you re right with the new player exp., its bad or sucks i dont know. I liked the gameplay, i spent days on the wiki to learn, i know thats stuff ppl dont like but the fact is if u really like something, u ll do anything to make it work. the first descendant ... well. they call themself free to play too and to put them one step with warframe is just bullshit even its "technically" right. i like those nice waifu thems they use but also there is real buildcrafting possible and for me the most important stuff: guns feel satisfying to shoot. which is the reason i came back after quitting Destiny 2-3 times. as well what u said: there is no other comparison to Destiny in terms of first person , looter shooter and actually good gunplay
I'm a day 1 Destiny 1 player who has seen all the ups and downs. Even with the poor launch of D2 people flooded back for Forsaken, so they have turned things around and might do so again. That said it's a preference thing for many, Warframe is great but some issues hold it back from being my main game, while The First Descendant has more issues/less content but just feels better to me right now. At the end of the day I think people should try different things and play what they enjoy the most
I stopped playing destiny 2 after finishing the final shape campaign i finshed the light and dark saga and said that it for me and If warframe offered a story/campaign skip id definitely try it out ive been playing tfd since it launched although the only thing that a pain so far for me is getting energy activator blueprints ive unlocked 2 ultimates pretty quick crafting my 3rd right know but the energy activators are the only things i can't seem to get i. I still like the game, and will keep playing at times. But there is legitimate concerns with them moving away from big expansions so other options are good
