I couldn't take my eyes off the bottle of Kofola. We went on a Viking River Cruise in 2019. We started with two full days in Prague, then went on the Danube to a several location, including Bratislava. It was there that I had my first Kofola. Sadly, I couldn't have it again on that trip. Even more sadly, I learned that you literally cannot find it in the United States. The closest I can get is a drink called Kockla (probably spelled wrong) that I can get at a local Bosnian restaurant. I'm going back to Prague in September and Kofola is going to be my go-to soft drink.
My husband and I just found you guys! I absolutely loved this video! I appreciate the Czech pronunciation multiple times of the different products so I can learn. Also, I loved the history and background of certain products. Please keep making more videos. You guys do an awesome job. RE: When to say "Cheers" in Czech Can you please do a video of testing different beers and please talk about when it is appropriate to say "Na zdraví". I found that out the hard way when I visited. Americans will sometimes say Cheers with non-alcoholic drinks.
Just tried Becherovka… very similar to Jagermeister. Also picked up some Birell, which honestly just tasted like carbonated juice. Thanks for all the tips and the tours.
Last year when I went to Prague I was powered by strawberry-flavoured Tango. Nice to know that next time I go I'll be able to get my E-numbers from authentic local produce :)
Long time fan and usually watch from my TV account! Love all the videos, editing and themes of each episodes! Keep it up and keep it coming! Look forward to new episodes every week!
That was a great video and I sincerely hope you weren't sick, that made me laugh out loud. BTW Birrell Pomelo a Grep is the best non-alcoholic beer - and you missed trubičky, but you are completely forgiven as you've gone through the gamut of chocolate wafers! ps my 4 wheel drive is dead after a trip to Poland.
Becherovka outclasses all other herbal liqueurs. I prefer fruit tinctures (currants, cherries, plums, etc.) in general, but this one is really tasty and I'd recommend buying it blind- I don't think it can disappoint. Here in Poland it is available in any medium-sized+ store, I hope it will become even more popular. Very good composition, no unpleasant bitterness or aftertaste of medical syrups.
Piškoty - you just cant mainly eat them on their own xD I eat them with yogurt, or puding, or with a jam, or a lot of people are putting them into cakes... and are yes, treat for dogs... just universal. and thats beautiful. and I was eating them every time I was ill xdd And some people say that lentilky tasted much better before than now.. yeah, capitalism or what (they are saying xd) And Horalky or Tatranka are the best snacks for Hiking the mountains - Hora - Horalka. Tatry - Tatranka. In school our moms would pack these every time we went on a trip somewhere with our school.. :d
they are now not so colored, bcs from artificial coloring they went into natural colorings, i think - could be reason why they dont "taste" now so good as before
i love kofola, coca-cola is better for mixing drinks with alcohol, but i prefer the less sweet and herby taste of kofola - btw - there is naturally crafting secret of like 17? herbs mixture made into sirup for kofola
Thanks for the video! I watched it right before our flight to Prague and got the chance to try some of the delicious snacks you've mentioned! I bought the Kolonada wafers and brought them home, they are nice! Thin, sweet and crispy. But if i'd like to try and heat them up, like you said they do on the street sometime, how would I do that at home? Any idea? 🥸 I really think it will be even better when hot
As a Czech, I start with this. I don’t know ANYONE who, among all of our beers, will choose Bernard. 😂 I never ate rohlík with cheese wrapped around. We cut it and fill it, like french baquette 😉 And you did chosee some unfortunate flavors, not even us like them 😢 Also, try to make “Beton”. One shot of Becherovka and Tonic. A we still give piškoty as a treat to our dogs 😂
I hope the Becherovka helped digest all the sweets you ate! Thanks guys for putting your body in the crossfire for all of us. I don't have the stomach.
Compared to Coca-Cola/Pepsi, Kofola (Original, there's version with less sugar too) contains 30% less sugar, 50% more caffeine and no phosphoric acid. Personally, I dropped drinking Coca-Cola after a single glass as a kid - too sweet and bad on my stomach. But Kofola, I came to love and drink even few decades later.
Sojový suk is the best - a perfectly balanced blend of GMO soya, hydrogenated palm oil, high fructose syrup and bunch of stabilizers. If this doesn’t kill you, nothing will…
Next episode will be : How to find a dentist in Prague 😂 I also think that as a Prague guide you missed the opportunity to introduce the ‘Metro dezert‘ and its story.
No I was talking about Birell but I think she said that it’s not sweet enough. I already have my own idea about Kofola you know I drink a lot of a gasified drink and I have tried lot of others. I don’t drink concentrated alcohol or normal beer. I prefer (good) ciders (10 % of alcohol),anisé already sweet and some others... or beer dry of 10% of alcohol and then I mixt it.
Looks like you are running out of subjects, if you are willing to sacrifice your tummy for this segment. BTW, while Zeman certainly had his problems with the bottle, it was Havel, a great man, who said that his campaign was run on Becherovka. Have fun!
hi my name is Jakub and I’m from Czech republic and I have chalenge for you can you tell on oné video tři sta třicet tři stříbrných stříkaček stříkalo přes tři sta třicet tři stříbrných střech (It can be so hard for you ) and thats the chalenge thank you
Křupky - yes, I agree, but get the ones from Secalo company, the package have this old communist design, but they are the best, delicious, soft. Funnily, Tesco basic křupky come very close!
I just want to say, that most of those products are slovaks, I have been there 4 times already 😅, and kofola is Slovak. Next time don't say it belongs to CZ make a bit of research 😊 but nice video
@@LuisMiguel-kq1kp Well, all the "mostly slovak" products you were talking about were made in Czechoslovakia as well, so i really don't understand what you're yapping about, babe
@@LuisMiguel-kq1kp anyways i was pointing on the part you were like "noooo Kofola is slovak, not czech!!!". so for your little information, kofola has nothing to do with slovakia despite the fact that those mfs shared country with us.
I am starting to feel a pain on my heart when I see what is presented to foreigns... :( Almost half of information what that person says are not true or misleading to the fact what Czechs are used to.
Dear, what is the purpose of buying this staff if you dont taste all of them? If don't like something, then simply don't buy it. For some products you only showed it unpacked on camera. Well, i can do it myself, just opening the site of the store)
Which one of these snacks have you tried and which one of these snacks would you try? 🍫
I tried some! Could have used your knowledge before making my video on Prague snacks, love your content, made my visit to Prague even better! 😀
Becherovka I have always brought back from my trips but it tastes so strong. I like the chips - praprika chips
Paprika chips would be lovely. I have had ginger flavoured crisps in Italy and wish they were in Australia. 🙂
I mean i am czech And Hašlerky oh maan sheeesh
@@heyyou3558 I thought the Margot bar was HORRIBLE, and I've never met a chocolate bar I didn't like. Is there rum in there?!
I admire your devotion to your art, no sacrifice (to your wallet and your health) is too great ! I think your cats are really sweet as well
This was fun!!! ALSO!!!! Congratulations to the Czech Baseball Team. They made a good showing in the World Baseball Classic!
I moved from Brazil to Brno and I've tried some of those. My favourite was the Fidorka!!! ❤
OMG I LIVE IN BRNO MY WHOLE LIFE BUT IM SO HAPPY I FOUND SOMEONE THAT LIVES HERE TOO! (I always see people say that they are from Prague so lmao)
Your humor is important to the content as it makes us all snicker and smile. You're the best!!!
The shot of liquor at the end made you look presidential.

i love it
Thank you! So many old friends - it felt like a reunion . . . .
My childhood favorite is Tatranky! Dobrou Chut!
We are coming to Prague in early April to refill our Kofola and beer supplies, would add something on top from Your clip
This is new amazing interesting content and a change from the regular tour guide videos. I enjoyed it.
Thank you Valerie. As always great job. I just hope you didn't get sick afterwards🤔🤷😏👏👏👏👏💯👌😘😘😘❤️
Oh, so many eating sounds... Such a torture! I watched it though because I love you guys!

This was a good video. You make me miss Czecho and I do want to go on one of your tours next time!

Kokanda my Mother always brings home from Czech Republic.
Now I know what I should buy when I visit your country in August! Sour Fish ❤❤❤
jojo has dozens of types of candies and they are all delicious
Brambůrky jsou nejlepší. Napsáno na jedné tašce, "Nejsme chipsy, jsme brambůrky." Je pravda. Mám ráda to!
Long time fan and usually watch from my TV account! Love all the videos, editing and themes of each episodes! Keep it up and keep it coming! Look forward to new episodes every week!
If you mix the two drinks together you'll have a "Becherovkofola" heehee... Fun Video:)
I’ve been to Czech Republic many times but for some reason only tried a small fraction of these, you made me curious to try more:)
Really fun!
Loved it❤️
Definitely the bread roll for breakfast lunch and snacks or miniature pizza bread.🧑🍳
You said the Rohlik was 290 k but that can't be right---maybe 29?
this was the best tasting video I have ever seen
In Poland we had the same story president :D we can make those 2 have nice time together assume :P

I'm going to try the Kofola and that water for sure, and that soy stick, too.
Also, more cat cameos, please! Or should I say "catmeos"?
Great fun!!
Margot is very very sweet. There is a recipe for a cake made of Margot... my mother used to make it...
Not sure how it affects Czech people but one day I tried a Kofola with my dinner and it kept me up all night, most likely from the caffeine!
Flint you have with milk chocolate as well

I bet you won't have any junk food for weeks after this tasting exercise! My cat is the same: gets upset if I move a single piece of furniture!
Sedita is actually Slovakian company and Mila is the best 🙂
When I visit Czech Republic I want to have a beer with you 😊❤
My favourite Czech snack is Horicke trubicky 😊
Marvin Sokolik Going to Southern Bohemia next year to visit family. Thanks I'll have to try some of these snacks ,when I'm there.
Your t-shirt is from Chilli ultimate festival "Plechová huba" ??
good video
Make more videos with your cats in them!
I keep watching to see them reappear.
LOL you shook that box and they arrived!
Cute cats. They are in charge of the apartment and the snacks etc
Piškoty they are good for cold desserts as a base, soaking up liquid and cream
I eat them with yoghurts or nutella.

If someone says Kofola has a similar taste to Coca-Cola, they are crazy for sure, cause Kofola is based on herbs and tastes nothing like Coca-Cola.
The beer is the best😊😊😊😊
Thank you...again

How many tower steps will Valery have to climb (in the cold of course) to burn off all the calories of this video? LOL

I have rn next to me mattoni 1,5l orange 😭
😊
And once again it´s proven : the cement, which makes all that stuff eatable is : coffee ......☕☕☕☕
Now there is a different type of M&m,bigger, the taste is different.
The gazified drink look tasty.
For the alcool, lot of people mixt it with juices.
if you mean kofola it is - it tastes of herbs also - if you go to pub, but dont want to drink beer - 98% of time they will have kofola on tap

Becherovka! (Think of Christmas cake.) Still going strong. Still, though so much cheaper long time ago, during the communist era....
I’ll eat the Flint!

Fun fact: Lentilky is actually the Czech version of Smarties
kofola may taste healthy but its like coca cola but caffeinated (idk if coca cola has caffeine, also this is coming from a czech🇨🇿)
ona tam vážně vytáhla Bernarda jako příklad českýho piva proč ne třeba Plzeň nebo Budwiser

mila is slovak, not czech. so calling it czech snack isnt very appropriate
I tried most of the snacks and drinks, except for the liqueur - that will now be my main goal to try! Great video! Thanks for this :)
Mix it with some tonic water and you have the cocktail : ''beton..' (BEkerovka) plus (TONic) = Beton, which is Czech for cement. Get it?
