I’m also a 4 decade Vikings fan and I can see you are right in the sweet spot of Viking fandom lol…don’t quite trust it even with a 13-2 record and 8 game win streak. You’re not wrong buddy, they can’t get you if you got no hope that is where we are until they win a championship.
i had complete faith in every game with that 09' vikings, these vikings just dont have that guarantee pressure. We'll see with the pace they had when ivan pace was last in the lineup, pun intended, he could complete this defense. We are getting healthy in key spots at the right time with Cashmen and Pace in the lineup, Haven't lost a game with cashmen yet.
@ I lived in Chicago in 09, went to the Dec at Soldier game where we lost in OT that basically lost us homefield throughout to the Saints. I knew then we were a good team but had flaws (turnovers and AP running vs Farve passing never really clicked schematically as well as it should which was the OC’s (Chilly vs Favre) fault) and they all reared their ugly head in the NFCC. Still we were the better team and would have thrashed Manning and the Colts. When Pace and Cashman are both on the field our defense is soooo much better. Pace is that instinctive gap shooter for TFL’s we need against the Packers and Cashman does a little of that but is also good to the edges and in the short to intermediate coverage situations. Together they both allow our pass rushers to comfortably rush and give the oline a lot to be concerned about. Excited to see what they can do with this Packers offense.
@@mattholmes9657 You are completely correct in the analysis of the 09 Vikes. The thing to me, is the things that were reliable with that team was a solid run game, guaranteed pressure, automatic kicker, explosive kick returning, and a team full of veterans. The '24 Vikings are more intriguing, but there are still doubts, like what happens when we aren't able to force turnovers, and can we get a consistent offense without these dead drives, or a consistent run game going into these winter months. This packer game will really help us if we can secure home field, we get dome games for the rest of the way.
@@GammaRayXZ Very true on the 09 team’s strengths, when they complimented each other they were the best team in the league and basically unbeatable. This 24 teams strengths, passing offense, pass rush / blitz scheme variations, special teams kicking / punting skill, when it’s all clicking it makes all three phases over 4 qtrs hard to beat but not dominate like some juggernaut teams that beat you in to submission over 60 mins. I agree our lack of a physical rushing offense puts a lot of pressure on KOC and Darnold to come up with plays over and over to take advantage of matchups. Those tend to only work once against very good teams who adjust then you have to quickly take it up another advantage level to keep making pass plays if you don’t have an above average physical running game to flip to which we don’t. That’s where the offensive lulls come from in the middle of games I believe. Some games Jones gets the necessary 5-6 yard runs to make it just good enough but when he and Akers get stoned at the LS then our only bailout on 3rd & long seems to be Darnold find Jefferson. Especially late in games when it’s do or die. That’s a problem because eventually the play won’t work or pass gets tipped or dropped. Funny thing is, I think the answer to a lot of these offensive ills is run Akers and Jones in 12 personnel with Oliver, Hock and Ham even more.
In the fantasy championship. Would you play Chiefs defense or roll the dice on Ravens or Raiders. Issue with Raiders is if Carr/Kamara plays only option I have to play otherwise is Jaguars.
The Bears game you question the Seahawks and Jeno should never be a team's starter unless you just picked up a QB with a #1 pick, even then I might put the #1 in game 1. The Rams with 2 sub-20 performances don't look much better, the whole division is not too good and whoever gets in will lose because of sporadic offense and scoring under 17 maybe 14 points.
I've been saying this since last week. The Dolphins don't play well in the cold because they're built to play fast on offense. Give me the Browns in a low scoring ugly game regardless of who they have under center. Then the Dolphins will have nothing to play for going into New York to play the Jets in week 18 and they'll lose that game too. McDaniel might be lucky to keep his job this time.
@i agree with you, that could be a trap game and the browns are known for playing spoiler. Look at what they did on Thursday night football against Pittsburgh. If it could happen to a well coached team like Pitt it could happen to Miami. And i think jameis winston is coming back hes listed as questionable. I think outside of that game and the broncos it could be a good week for bettors
Same, I was just talking about this one. Usually, I would go with the Doplins but we saw what the Browns did to the Steelers in bad weather and Dophins just don't do well away from home in cold weather.
Yeah this is gonna age like milk once the bengals win and dolphins playoff hopes are still alive it’s not that the dolphins can’t win in the cold they just play good teams in the cold and they can’t beat good teams browns suck
Why do ALL people who predict certain games say "this game can go either way", ALL GAMES CAN GO EITHER WAY! There are no locks when gambling, LMFAO. Good video otherwise
@@drew388 our defense is better then the giants along with our offense, also isn't Drake hurt so y'all don't have your number one WR if lattimore is good to go he can cover Pitts and y'all have no weapons Mooney isn't that guy glad he's having another good year that makes 2 in what 6 years in the league but he's not a game changer and Washington is almost fully healthy for this meeting so Washington 35-10 remind you we just faced a very good eagles team and turned the ball over five times and still won and we don't ever turn the ball over so yea 35-10
