    I have a Holley 9510, made for a ford,with no air adjustment screws, can I modify this with a metering block/ETC to use on a Chevy for example????? Thx 👍🏻

      @NightWrencher  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to simply swap the metering block with one with adjustible fuel mixture screws

    can you explain or maybe another video but some metering blocks have the main well tapped and emulsion tube removed, information i found was this is done to hold more fuel in the well but how does this affect overall performance of the circuit. ? can the idle well also be tapped and plugged with a set screw also.? I would like to avoid the brass cups if possible thanks.

      Its done to allow more fuel flow when running alcohol or race fuel with a lot of horsepower. If its a street car, theres no need for that. Itll richen up the circuit but its mainly done to relieve the bottle neck of fuel

    Another great deep dive into the 4150 series carbs. I sent you a message on Instagram, but have you ever thought about doing deep dive tuning info on the 4160 series like the rest of is poor folk use?

    So would a 750 double pumper use the same metering blocks and a 650 double pumper carburetor?

    • @NightWrencher
      @NightWrencher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Highly unlikely. But they will work. 750 block on 650 would run richer, 650 block on a 750 would run leaner reguarless of whether its rejetted or not.

      @@NightWrencher makes me wonder. I have a 650 mechanical secondaries Quick Fuel Brawler. I'm putting a Proform 750 body on it but am unsure if the metering blocks will work ok. The stock jetting is 70 and 74 which seems really tight compared to the 74 and 83 that come with the Proform body. I could buy the Proform metering blocks but am trying not to spend much.

      I was talking specifically about take the blocks out of say a holley 4777 and swap them with a holley 4779. If all you're doing is swapping the main body, I would keep everything else the same. You might need a little more jet in the secondaries but the primaries should be close to the same since fueling is taken over by the PV at WOT.

    do yea know what jet number a 600 has i have a 390 i wont to got 600 jeting

    • @NightWrencher
      @NightWrencher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different 600s have different jetting. Try to lookup your carb number online. You should be able to find out what it came from the factory.

    I have question, I have a 780 quick fuel. On my 402. And it's to big. Was able to find a 650 middle body with a choke and want to swap everything over to this 650 middle body. Is that possible?? Or are the butterflies to large for the 650 body?? Thanks..

    • @NightWrencher
      @NightWrencher  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man, I just saw your comment, the QFT 780 should have the same baseplate as the 650 if they are both either double pumper or both vacuum secondary but wont work if you're trying to mix and match. a 780 seems like the perfect carb for a 402, why do you think its too big?

      Im running a 1050 proform main body on a stock bottom end 351w. Tfs 11r190 cc heads at 56cc. Tfs stage 2 cam. 1.7 rockers. 1/2 inch 4 hole spacer on a eddy air gap. From a dead stop. No bog will rip tires off on a c4 with a 410 rear. Afr gauge is 12.6 at idle. 13. At wot. 14 ish at cruise. Timing is 34 all in at 1800 rpms. No vac advance. 390 rwhp. 460ftlbs in a 82 notch mustang

      @NewEngland462 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 302 with a b cam and gt40 heads uses a 750 like its a 650. Check your timing curve. Tailor about 14-16 intial. Get it all in quick. Most likely your issue

    I just ordered a 4160 to 4150 conversion kit from AED and there are 4 holes drilled on top of the block. I wasn't sure, so I watched your video and I dont recall you explained what they were for. Can you explain it thanks.
