I have yet to read a book of theirs that I don't love ❤ Still auto-buy (but not quite with the same obsessive excitement I reserve for the first two) are Peter S. Beagle, Martha Wells, Mark Lawrence, Joe Abercrombie, Travis Baldree, Brandon Sanderson, Becky Chambers, Scott Lynch, Nicholas Eames and most recently Michael McClung. I love this type of videos, I always find cool authors to add to my TBR in the comment section.
Great video! I’m planning to give the Green Bones Saga a try this year - can’t wait! My auto-buy authors right now are probably Shannon Chakraborty, NK Jemisin and Neil Gaiman. I’ve read multiple books from each of these authors and every single one has been a big hit for me - world building, characters, quality of prose - I always know they will deliver on all fronts.
For me it's a few: Jay Kristoff (can't wait for the next book to come out this week!), Martha Wells (Witch King hooked me, Murderbot keeps me coming back), Alison Weir (historical books ftw), Mary Beard (same) and for nonfiction it's Ryan Holiday, Robert Greene and Cal Newport. For manga it's Gege Akutami because he got me to love JJK so much and if Hiromu Arakawa wrote another shonen I would be all over it.

Anthony Ryan is now a must for me. He announced the other day a sequel series to Covenant of Steel which will be out in September and I already pre-ordered it 😂
John Gwynne is that author for me. Also George RR Martin, before GoT became famous. You should read his sandkings to see his magic in a short novella form.

I didn't really have much auto-buy authors before. But now, I'd definitely say Josiah Bancroft is my auto-buy author. Not to everyone's taste but mine for sure.
@@buildwithgaurav I can see why people weren't pleased with the ending. It just might boil down to personal taste. However, I found that the last book stayed true to both the themes and characters arcs that Bancroft established from Senlin Ascends and developed onwards. For me, the series was a success. At the end of the day I think its best to see for yourself if a book works for you or not.
While Brandon will always be an autobuy author for me, I will never be able to find the level of enjoyment everyone else seems to have with Mistborn era 1. I don’t know what it is, but it’s one of the worst of his works imo!

I get that. Mistborn has a more youthful tone than his other work and a lot of people start with Mistborn as an entry to adult fantasy
Empire Of The Vampire is good, if it weren't for the abundance of swearing and profanity in almost every page.
