It's great that you keep on listening to this band. There's so much to discover.
Their sound has evolve a lot over time. They can craft the most lovely slow songs as well as doing powerful electro stomper in a same album.

Other hits from PSB were Rent (my favorite), It's a Sin (brit award nominated), What Have I done to deserve this and Always on My Mind.
Another great band, but from the 70's was Electric Light Orchestra which from I recommend to start with Mr. Blue Sky.
