MUNTING ALAY (Filipino verses)

This Mass song was composed by Rev. Fr. Leo Nilo C. Mangussad. It has 4 verses, 2 of which are in Filipino, and the other 2 are in English. It is appropriately sung during the Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts. Rendering this song is the Malolos Jubilee Ensemble together with the Magnificat Chamber Orchestra and the Joseph Ratzinger Chamber Orchestra, which is headed by Rev. Fr. Allan B. Antonio. The Liturgy of the Eucharist begins with the Preparation of the bread and wine into the altar. This is where we see the first Eucharistic action of Christ, which is taking the 2 species and offering them into the Sacred Altar. They in turn will become his real Body and Blood, and will become our spiritual nourishment in Holy Communion.
