    There's something about you Agad that really makes me come back. You bring grace to chess.
    You poke fun at yourself.
    You insert inadvertent satire like "The D-file becomes the Ding file"
    You have this "Sorry about that" Thing that you need to make a video about.
    You are contributing to community chess across the world because I am using your content to train kids.
    Thanks.

    I don’t have a question. Just an observation. I assumed that you would cover potential lines more closely than usual, being that this is the”World Chess Championship”. But you actually exceeded my expectations, showing so many great possibilities. And you are still the best chess TH-camr to listen to. No activity relaxes me more than sitting in the recliner and kicking back with your newest video. That’s why no matter how many subs you have and whatever “place” you are amongst the Chess Channel size rankings, you’ll always be number 1 for me. Great vid, as usual.

    • @JW-qd3ol
      @JW-qd3ol ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agadmator is my favorite chess TH-camr as well.
      You may also like Chessbrah, which is Eric Hansen and Aman Hambleton (both GMs), and some friends. They're both Canadian, and both awesome.
      The music is great, the vibes are great, the chess is great. They're definitely the best chess streamers (with the possible exception of Hikaru).
      Among other things, Eric is known for putting a drunk Hikaru Nakamura in a headlock when Hikaru challenged him to a fight at some party (there's a video!).
      Not to be outdone, Aman also won his fight in Ludwig's Mogul Chessboxing event last year, with a spectacular victory against Lawrence Trent.
      Magnus Carlsen also just lived at their house for a few weeks and played and streamed on Twitch with them a fair amount, which was very entertaining.
      My specific recommendations are: Eric has a Hippo Speedrun series right now which is amazing, and Aman has an English Speedrun series right now which is almost as good (I'll give the edge to the Hippo Speedrun though). Both series are very calming and fun to watch, while also being entertaining and very sharp! The commentary is hilarious and the gameplay is amazing.
      Anyway, glad you enjoy Agadmator so much. He's still my favorite chess TH-camr, I watch all of his videos religiously :D He's just the best!

    Thumbs up if you agree the classical chess championship should be the "first player to get to six wins", like the 1984 Kasparov-Karpov match. The only way for a fair match, since with a shorter format players are hesitant to play since one loss might mean you lose the entire championship. This is one reason Magnus decided not to defend his title, besides boredom.

    my analysis this game one:
    Nepo = give simple opening after bishop take knight, but to slow convert middle game because choose saver plan
    Ding: too slow aproachment opening after knight d7, computer like bishop pin knight just to avoid Knight take e5. But Good at middle game and some saver plan at endgame.
    Conclusion: If both player play like this, unlikely must be draw, instead if a player take a risky plan that be a fire and cool chess aproachment.

    Question about the match: Do FIDE and both players negotiate before the match how the match will be played? Like how many games, numbers of the rest days, what format if they are equal in the end of classical time format,... And also how many hours in classical, increments or no increments, or increments after move X. Did FIDE and both players negotiated this format Agad described at the start of the video? I'm asking because I know Magnus was negotiating with FIDE how the match should be played before he decided he won't play.

    • @GamerX998
      @GamerX998 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, they don't. FIDE is an organization, and is pretty rigid in their structuring of the rules and tournament play. I think Magnus had problems agreeing with the rules that were very much against him despite being the best player. I believe it was recorded that Fischer had the same/similar problems, and demanded a lot (which might or might not have been reasonable) from tournament organizers because of so.

    • @alpha007org
      @alpha007org ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GamerX998 If I was playing WC, I would expect **some** leeway. At least when in the day do the matches start (like 10:30am). And regarding rest days. Like 2 matches, rest day, 2 matches, 2 rest days, repeat. Some leeway has to there.
      If anyone has any information, please share.

      Believe me, I love Tal and the playstyles of Aleksei Shirov & Dubov, but now that everyone has engine prep, GMs are much better defensively. In classical chess is when this is made most apparent because the last thing you want to do is go into a line where your opponent has considerable # of engine lines. In WCC, these two have spent months with 2nds and computers.

    What about Bxh3? Surely this just wins a pawn because after gxh3, black can play Qxd4?
    Or if Qxh3 black can still play Qxd4, or can trade queens on h3 first and then play Rxd4?
    Also at 29:26
    Why not Nb7 to protect the a pawn for black? I know it's a bit of a slow move but surely saving one pawn will make a big difference in the endgame?

    it's funny how the switchup in the time format aims at pushing players to make more mistakes because of time troubles
    which results in more decisive games and more entertainment
    but it's kind of odd that we want players to play worse chess, because the result is more enjoyable and decisive
    basically worse chess -> better chess
