Hey guys, by the way, I made a Discord a while back. Feel free to criticize the hell out of me, or just say nice things! See you around! Discord: discord.gg/VBQ3FWQ
Your orchestral covers never fails to impress! I really look forward and hope you do more covers of Sawano's work. Maybe AlieZ from Aldnoah zero or ShøuT from Re:creators? Who knows? but I can't wait!
@Raleigh Iagura really appreciate you listening to them even though sometimes they need more mixing!! Thanks so much! Right now I’m working on the song that briefly played during the latest trailer for Pokémon: Koko, by Sawano x Beverly. It’s proving pretty hard because I don’t have a lot whole lot to go off of, but I’m almost done!! Then I may start on an orchestral cover of Cage. Shout and Aliez are two of my fav songs- I will get them added to the list. Thanks again 😃
What’s your email, man? I’ll export it out and send it to you- no charge haha Edit: also, if you have any questions about composing in Sawano’s style, feel free to ask me on discord. My stuff isn’t perfect by any means, but always willing to help!
Dude you killed it! I love how you laid out the main melody in the first half - it really makes me want to lay out some funky guitar and drums over that part lol! btw, how are finding Decapitator? I've heard tons of good things about it but never used it myself.
Thanks!! Good to see ya again! Dang it, I wish I woulda thought of doing that for that part xD. Hey if you wanna rearrange it go for it lol I bought decapitator, it was a little expensive I think like 250 USD. I think it’s definitely worth it. I mentioned I was focusing on mixing. Well I found out that my mixes were muddy because I 1- had bad EQ skills and two- I was boosting low frequency on the bass elements to get a nice bass sound that wasn’t thin- but that just muddied it up. Because you’re saturating your high frequencies too when you do that. So the proper way to do it instead of boosting frequency is by adding frequency and layering it, and that’s why the exciter does. It works really really well because it also has settings to tone the sound. You have supreme control of how you want it to sound and that’s really really awesome!
@@Zarauken I actually brought it into my DAW, pushed up the tempo, and messed around with it for a bit yesterday. It's a lot of fun to work with! It's a bit tough to fit things in without the stems, but it seems to be working lol I was just looking on the site and saw that it has a punish button. Reminds me of Damage's punish knob (or Damage 2's many punish knobs). But this would be killer for my drums. I'm definitely going to look into getting this at some stage. Thanks for the response, appreciate it.
@@taxisalad It is. You access Damage 2 through Kontakt, so if you have that, you should be fine. Damage 2 works with Kontakt player, so you don't need the full version of Kontakt.
