I love this video, you did a fantastic job with it. I love how each chorus builds off the last. I think it is what got me hooked on the song, besides EB having an amazing singer for it. The first chorus is four lines long, the second is six lines (an additional two to the original four), and the last chorus is a grande finale eight lines of amazingness with their iconic last phrase, "The Pursuit begins when this portrayal of life ends."

I think the speaker is saying what the other person did is buried so deep within the other person that they can't get it out. They can't separate themselves from what they've done and what their mind is saying about it in return.
