thats how I used to work too - in the zone. But SO MANY of my patreon members wanted me to talk at the same time - Now I just basically say what im thinking as I draw - hope that doesnt get me into trouble one day ha.....
I have a bunch of unisons and then to complete my range of colors in a more affordable way, I got a rembrandt 90 half set that was on sale. I love the colors but compared to my few unison I feel that they don't get dark enough. The color charts online and in the brochure says that the line has a lot of .2 pastel shades, which are the darkest, but then I can't find any of those available for purchase, it's weird.
I MUCH prefer my Rembrandt sticks to Unison, I find the softer ones too difficult to control and I fill the tooth if im not careful. For the darkest blacks I use cretacolour chalk leads - see my video ;)
Hi Jason! I bought a PH tester marker and I tested the back of a pastelmat sheet (of a block, those with glassine between each sheet), and I found that it was not acid free (the front is, obviously). Do you think that the acid in the back will have any effect on the conservation of the piece in the front? Thank you!

May I ask, perhaps a silly question 😅 did you print the reference photo to the same size as your working paint and transfered with transfer paper?
