So many nooks and crannies and different surfaces and angles on a car like this. I don’t know how you don’t get overwhelmed at best, or miss things on the car at worst.
On jobs like this I'm weirdly never over welmed. I'm very calm working on exotic cars and tuned in like in the zone even more on stuff like this. It's like a bizarre super power being unphased by something most people freak out about being near or sitting in it. I have literally seen people shaking sitting in it and have mild panic attacks being next to 3 plus million dollar cars. I started the company with the goal to reach this level so when you achieve that you have a responsibility in my opinion to yourself to carry out what you started. So all those years of hard work solidify into this unnatural calm and relaxation. It's bizarre and hard to explain. Lol. I'm more comfortable working on stuff like this than a 80k bmw.
What a great experience! The one thing I would recommend is to show more of the detail and talk in the background while cleaning the car. Overall awesome job though!
Will totally take note of that!! Really appreciate your feedback 😃👍 My diy maintenance video on a ZR1 vette is really informative and lots of voiceover!
I would only clear bra two sections that are getting hit with the Rock's primarily I would like to enjoy the depth of the natural beauty and paint job then Bugatti put into it
Thanks for watching! Check out the Senna detail plus drive video and the P1 video if you liked this one! I have a hauyra detail video coming this Sunday 👍👍👍
Given the frequency with which this car is touched, handled and washed, the PPF keeps the paint "perfect". Can you swirl the PPF just by washing it so much? My detailer says use hot water, warm heat or just leave it in the sun to go back to the way it was installed. Even with the resources of your customer, I bet repainting a bumper would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Nice video, lots of detail on the process.
Self healing PPF properties wear off especially the more you rely on them. Having said that our views on PPF have changed a bit since filming this. Stek PPF has really impressed me. It addresses the major concerns I have regarding PPF.
Perhaps a little less talking throughout the entire video, and more filming of the actual detailing? It’s cool to hear your method, but it would be nice to watch the actual footage of the car getting cleaned.
Great question. Halo is designed for ppf. But before halo was developed gtechniq obviously said csl was a great product on PPF. We have used this combo on PPF for years and never had an issue or a warranty claim. I'm not sponsored by anyone or accredited so I don't pay to play with anyone's products. So I can unbiasedly say I think halo is a product that was made to fill a void that was missing but not actually missing. Now it's just simple to say you use halo on PPF. In my opinion halo is beneficial on matte PPF or matte cars. Csl will add more gloss and that's not desirable on matte surfaces. That's another reason I like csl on clear film. Noticable gloss difference! Exo is designed to bond too csl. Also bumps gloss a bunch. Exo is also so easy to put on!! So it's a incredible one two punch and gives the max durability I hope that answers your question 🙂👍 Appreciate you watching our content!
Your passion for cars come through your eyes and your every word. And you've been too kind: that Bugatti was a little bit dirty. To your question though, I would definitely go with no PPF to enjoy the gloss and depth of the color. One has to watch your video on the GT3 to appreciate that thru the camera. At this price point, the owner has the means to fix a chip or 2.
No PPF on a car like this in my opinion. As fast as this car often goes, like you said, a rock hitting it would nullify the ppf protection. also, being able to afford a car like this, you can afford to fix it properly.
It's a tough decision! Since I found STEK PPF that has no orange peel I would roll that back and full body STEK this car. If my only option was xpel id go paint only. Tragic to put something so unclear and orange peely on incredible paint!
Ceramic or PPF ? My Spyder (done by Status ) looks superior , no PPF just a ceramic in and out. So easy to wash and looks perfect every time. I put 6k mi in a year , and yes it’s got some chips , and I have very bad one on the hood , even scratched metal under paint. I think if I I had PPF it would not save it and I would end up replacing whole hood PPF. So my vote goes to ceramic only , I am thinking about just around the wheels , but film will get destroyed and will look same as a paint .
We can always touch up the chips easily for free with your included ceramic warranty. Replacing the film will be expensive and if it hits paint anyway then you really can't re wrap it without repainting or some kind of body shop visit. Because the new ppf will have a weird imperfection under it. Can't put touch up paint over ppf so you kind of get stuck with bad film because most owners rarely replace it. Like you said, having ppf in some small precise locations definitely has benefits. Like lower rear bumper for example.
@@chitterlingsrtasty I'm getting that a lot lately lol. You can always ship me a car. Especially if it's something this wild! Going to try and get more out of state cars in 2022!
Yea but i feel like if you’re actually driving the car, the orange peel is worth the sacrifice because you may get LUCKY with just a couple of rock chips but you’re likely to get more. Especially if you have to drive on the interstate
If I basically never drove it I'd probably do nothing. But I would definitely want to drive it in that case I would definitely do full body I would just want an installation as good as the one that I know I can do. It would be tragic for this car to have a crappy film put on it and a really bad installation.

@@STATUSDETAIL I think you found your calling-very lucky! I love that you love what you’re doing.
What a great experience! The one thing I would recommend is to show more of the detail and talk in the background while cleaning the car. Overall awesome job though!
Will totally take note of that!! Really appreciate your feedback 😃👍
My diy maintenance video on a ZR1 vette is really informative and lots of voiceover!
Amazing
Thanks 🙂
I would only clear bra two sections that are getting hit with the Rock's primarily I would like to enjoy the depth of the natural beauty and paint job then Bugatti put into it
I like that approach 👍
Very educational content.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great videos.
Thank you Mike!
Beautiful !
100%!
Yes put PPF on to protect the paint. Zach
Did they end up selling the car? Or is more content still in the pipeline?
I did a few videos with it.iys a long story but this car won't be returning to the channel if I had to guess lol
🔥
👍👍👍
Superior!!!!
Thanks for checking out the video 🙂
Can't wait!
Can't wait to show you! Morning can't come soon enough 😀😀
Nice video!
Thanks for watching! Check out the Senna detail plus drive video and the P1 video if you liked this one! I have a hauyra detail video coming this Sunday 👍👍👍
Amazing job!!
Thanks!
@@STATUSDETAIL How so? I recall your concerns about PPF. Which ones does the Stek film address?
@@77canesman Stek had basically no orange peel. Check out my video comparing Stek to xpel
Perhaps a little less talking throughout the entire video, and more filming of the actual detailing? It’s cool to hear your method, but it would be nice to watch the actual footage of the car getting cleaned.
I think I do that in my new videos! Check out my gt3 touring and gt4rs video 🙂
Totally agree.
Exactly. He should change the title to 50 hours of talking and 5 min of detailing
Very curious as to why you chose CSL in EXO. It seems halo and skin are designed for PPF. Beautiful car! 100% I would PPF the Bugatti.
So it's a incredible one two punch and gives the max durability
I hope that answers your question 🙂👍
Appreciate you watching our content!
AWESOME!!!
Your awesome 😀
Man I’m late I wish I would have gotten a package today is my first official day in business lol😂💪🏽
I'm not sure I understand? Lol
Thanks for watching and the kind words 🙂
No PPF on a car like this in my opinion. As fast as this car often goes, like you said, a rock hitting it would nullify the ppf protection. also, being able to afford a car like this, you can afford to fix it properly.
It's a tough decision! Since I found STEK PPF that has no orange peel I would roll that back and full body STEK this car.
If my only option was xpel id go paint only. Tragic to put something so unclear and orange peely on incredible paint!
2008 Audi RS4 owner that would love some free detail product!
I'm a big Audi fan myself 🙂👍
For me, with the way I’d drive my cars, I’d go with PPF to avoid rock chips.
Full body or just front end?
Did not know you can pollish PPF 🤔
👍
I'm going to guess, is the owner the now The Hamilton Collection?
They owned it while I worked on it lol. I did basically every car for them and basically filmed every car
@@STATUSDETAIL little PPF on new car !!!!!!
Ceramic only
@@got_gt3612 that's the perfectionists/purest approach 👍👍
@@STATUSDETAIL wish you guys were in NC!
@@chitterlingsrtasty I'm getting that a lot lately lol. You can always ship me a car. Especially if it's something this wild! Going to try and get more out of state cars in 2022!
Drive it=PPF for sure
Garage queen/enclosed trailer to events=not needed
One day you’ll see the light E! ;)
Lol perhaps. I could see doing front bumper maybeeee
are those swabbing sticks hahahha. I use those things to swab equipment for TOC
@@pwynes51 not sure lol. They are sold on detailing supplies websites!
The earth to the moon 😂 9 times. How bout 1?
?
There are a lot of companies out there that offer 0 orange peel ppf.
Have them send it to me and I'll show on camera how plastic is not perfect 👍
Yea but i feel like if you’re actually driving the car, the orange peel is worth the sacrifice because you may get LUCKY with just a couple of rock chips but you’re likely to get more. Especially if you have to drive on the interstate
@@jkumadapharaoh8514 I would agree if you're going to drive a lot then it probably do the PPF.
1500hp
But is it enough......
3.3 M is alot for a detail…. I would have figured couple thousand hours 🤣🥸
If someone was to create that package... It would be status lol.
@@STATUSDETAIL yeah the molecule package. Status will polish your ceramic molecules.

No ppf for this car
If I basically never drove it I'd probably do nothing. But I would definitely want to drive it in that case I would definitely do full body I would just want an installation as good as the one that I know I can do. It would be tragic for this car to have a crappy film put on it and a really bad installation.
You talk too much man that's annoying!
