wheels look amazing and i have loved watching every episode of this build... your an inspiration to everyone building a project car to never give up. One quick note, the yellow spot on the tyre is where the valve should line up to give you the best balance to the tyre and rim
The best-looking Mr. 2 I've seen in a long time - and I'm old, so I've seen quite a few over the… er… decades. I agree with some of the others - I don't generally like white wheels, but these fit the era and the car. Looks great!

The MR2 is looking brilliant! It absolutely has a gen.1 Acura NSX vibe to it - the body dimensions, the staggered wheel sizing, and even the colour, are on point! Keep doing what you do!

Mr. Dos be made of red, white, and _zoooom...._ Looks sharp! I agree with Charlie; if you hadn't told us the wheel sizes were different, I doubt I'd have noticed. Great choice. Looking forward to the Bronco set you picked out! 👍️
I’m with Charlie on the Enkei’s vs these. These are perfect, period correct, the white wheels are a great touch.

5zigen is a great wheel. I ran them on my 01 Mazda Protege and my 08 Mazdaspeed3. The FN01R-c are super light as well. Both sets that I bought were the matt black.
White wheels on a red Japanese sports car is classic. Great choice!

I had a set of the enkei Falken Azinas on my WRX. It’s like driving on superglue. Best grip ever. I thought they were discontinued.
Nailed it with those wheels. They look awesome. I noticed the wheel arch liners are missing. So you have plans to reinstate them? They would really help complete the look.
It is time for coilovers. You can't go wrong with KW V3's on the SW20s. I had the 5Zigen FN01R-C's on mine until a pot hole took them out one and I couldn't get a replacement. I never felt like the car could get enough tire on front. The best part is it looked almost like factory wheels to those that don't know MR2's. Great street wheels and tires. For the track wheels I had Kosei K1 wheels 15's up front and 16's in the rear 225/245 Hoosiers on them.
If I put coilovers on the MR2 they will be Apexi N1 Evolutions.. they're $3k though so I've been hesitant.
@@SarahnTuned Ouch - Save your money!!! The reason I went with KW V3s was to fit 235''s on front with my 17x8 FN01R-C's and Nitto NT01's. They were the softest setups I could find. Prior to that I had Eibach Sportline springs and tried Tokico and Koni sturts, but they couldn't handle bumps well on some of the tracks I ran. It was frustrating, but admittedly I was feeding into my OCD nature. (15-inch wheels on the front helped with that, but it was a ghetto set up with white wheels on front and grey in back.)

Nice wheels Sara. Just a little quirk I have, I would have line up the decals so they match the same lug position when you mount them. So each wheel has the decal in alignment (lug hole pattern) on all 4 tires.
Don't believe they would stay that way, with different tire diameters 🤔. By the way, congrats for being more OCD than Sarah! I may have misunderstood what you said. I think I get now, with 5 spoke wheels on 4 bolt pattern. I agree, making me more OCD too! 😎👍

Love it how people say they should run a certain size on a mr2, but I fit wheels double the size under my arches.

Those look perfect for the mr2, it just fits the styling of that car so well, that weight savings will probably make a decent difference in the driving experience too
I think Charlie's reaction summed it up - the wheels are era correct to the car, so they look at home and look right. The Enkei wheels were ok but this is the right choice. As a bit of a wheel nerd myself, it's like trying to put modern American Force forged wheels on a pickup from the 80's or 90's...they're ok (at best, I hate their lineup of styles) but using something from Weld Racing or Centerline is a much more perfect fit.

The right wheels can really transform the look and expression of a car - I totally get why this was important to you! The result look amazing. I had to buy a new (used) car last year which had wheels that were nice, but not fantastic in any sense of the word. They are 15" from factory (small compact car) As I had nice, recently bought, 16" wheels on my old car, that will fit my new car, I swapped back to the original wheels for my old car, keeping the new rims for the new car. Since we i Sweden have to have winter tires , I still have not put the nice 16" wheels on the car yet - I can't wait to see what it will look like. I guess I will be as excited as you are in the clip, when it finally is time to put them on.
And I thought the other wheels looked before. The new wheels are WAY better. That car is badass!

Really cool wheels, white wheels are extremely non OCD friendly though, i wonder how long you can cope. Especially if your have some sportier brake pads, they get dirty after just a short drive.
Love the new look! Any chance you're interested in selling the previous wheel setup? I've got a black '93 turbo still running factory 15's I painted bronze. :) Those bronze Enkei's are exactly the look I'm after!
Nice, looks like a mini Ferrari Testarossa. I would remove the spacer upfront to make it more flush with the wheel archers and inline with the back wheels. Perfect nineties look.

I was wondering about putting white wheels on the MR2, how they'd look. At least for me, white wheels always seem to look too big, but these look great, especially with the red paint.
