Omg thank you so much 🙌🏽 I’ve been dying for someone to do an honest review of beetles dip for months! I’ve been trying to build my collection and the 20 dip colors for like $30 is crazy tempting.
Thank you so much for doing this review! I have religiously gotten my nails done at salons and by other people in general for many years. But, with currently being on a graduate student budget, I have needed to turn to cheaper means of having nice nails. As much as I love drugstore fake nails, I really want to have my nails actually done and I had initially gotten recommendations for the Beetles dip kit on Facebook. Your tutorial was very nicely thorough and informative and makes me feel a lot better about taking the plunge to buy the kit! I’m someone who has really never done my own nails aside from experimenting one time years ago with an acrylic kit from CVS which did not end well lol. Otherwise, I’ve usually used fake nails from Walmart/CVS/riteaid/etc. So thank you!
You’re so not alone! I never did my own nails until I got my first dip kit about 4 years ago! There’s definitely a learning curve, as there is for anything, but you so got this!! 💕
This was a great demonstration and review! I just bought a Beetles Dip Kit and I can’t wait to use it. Your nails are beautiful 🤩 Thanks for sharing. 💜💐🌸
Beetles is the brand I’m using ,it’s the main brand that comes up on Amazon here in the UK..It’s very reasonably priced normal ,though I got a few kits when it was going cheaper than normal.. I absolutely love the colour choices they have and their glitter ones oh my gosh are gorgeous.. I do like the colours you choose on this video xx
Watching this review as I'm using my Beatles dip kit I got it in pastels so cute great coverage top coat does work you must have just gotten a bad one if it won't open. Overall really happy with my product kind of wish I'd gotten your glitter one though that looks gorgeous!
Beetles has so much beautiful dip powders. The liquids give me terrible dip flu… I mean awful. All liquids I’ve tried give me dip flu and I’m over feeling like crap. 😑I purchased the Beetles gel liquids and will try that for my next mani. Wish me luck!! 🙂
I never knew beetles had a dip system either your nails always come out nice though love the sparkly nails for sure the glitter dip is sooooo pretty this is a hit tfs
I have bought two sets of Beetles brand dips sets, with liquids included .. plus two other sets of just the dip colors. I love that the liquids have no odor and the dips are so buttery and easy to apply. The one issue I had with them was with the base liquid, no matter what I did, I had issues with the base wanting to gum up the brush and I’d end up having to use the brush saver, which works well. I have used the top coat, however, after two coats of it, it still wasn’t shiny enough for me 🥲 other than that, it’s a great system and of course I’ve used the dip colors with different dip liquids, with no issues … hope this helps someone else’s🙂🙂

Hi Marla! Thank you for doing a review on Beetles dip powder and dip liquids. I tried the base dip liquid once and was not a fan. It dried to quick that I was not able to get full coverage. So, I ended up using another dip liquid to finish my mani. Do you find the glitter to be messy when applying? I used the Beetles glitter and it just went everywhere. I had to use it on my patio, lol. As always beautiful mani.
Hey sweets! If you put down a coat of base alone and let that dry, the next coat will dry slower. I find that to be true with most dip base coats. Glitter in general is usually messy lol I didn’t find this abnormally messy.. the usual glitter mess (it’ll probably show up in a chest X-ray) but nothing crazy. I’ve seen worse 😂
I loveeed those colors. Thank your for reviewing, I’ve had my doubts about buying it. I have issues with my clear dip powder. It seems like it doesn’t activate even after several coats of activator and letting it dry for several minutes. Chunks come off when I start filing. Do you think it’s the clear dip?? The liquids I use are revel and Vitamin Dip liquids.
I’d say that’s probably an activator issue. Sometimes, if it’s even a tiny bit open, the active ingredients can evaporate out and render it useless. It tell ya to get a new activator

Absolutely!! So, you’ll apply gel base, as if you were doing a gel mani (of course prep accordingly) and then pour over the powder. Clean up your cuticles and side walls the same way with a toothpick or orange wood stick, and cure 30 sec. After cure, dust excess and repeat! Hello I am learning so much from your videos. Can you recommend some good dip powder brands that are not expensive but are not clumpy that would work well for a beginner learning how to do her own dip nails? Thank you.
Hey love! Welcome!! The beetles dip kits would be great for you! They have some smaller ones on Amazon (you can see all these in my storefront below) that are even cheaper than this one!
I tried a Beetles dip kit, but it did not work for me at all. I tried three different powers, and they all cracked and chipped within hours. I'm glad it works for some of you though✨
These are the only dip liquids I’ve used, and I definitely get dip flu from them. Realized it after my third time using, and it’s a week later and I’m still congested and sneezing 🤧 The liquids and powder are great though if you’re lucky not to get sick!
Yep 100%. The clear is only to protect the pigment from filing and to add strength. I’d still recommend picking up a clear for those reasons, but it’s not “necessary” 💜
I currently use Beetles and think they are ok. Prices are reasonable and odor is mild. Powders we’re good too. I don’t like the top coat though. It takes too long to dry and isn’t as shiny as gel. I prefer a gel topcoat. I stopped using regular nail polish because of the long dry times so I have no patience for anything that takes longer then 5 minutes to dry. I invested quit a bit of money into dips and gels so I expect instant dryness.
That’s mostly because they will last more or less time depending on how you prep, your natural nails, lifestyle, etc. but I can generally get up to 3 weeks with no lifting 🫶🏻
@@MarlaKris I just finished putting on Gelish dip powder. Can’t wait to see how long they last. Thank you for doing these informative videos. They are great.

Hey love! Welcome!! The beetles dip kits would be great for you! They have some smaller ones on Amazon (you can see all these in my storefront below) that are even cheaper than this one!
@@MarlaKris thank you so much for your reply.
Hi can u use peel off with dip powder and which make u using
Yes!! I’m using Unt peel base. It should be in my amazon storefront!
I tried a Beetles dip kit, but it did not work for me at all. I tried three different powers, and they all cracked and chipped within hours. I'm glad it works for some of you though✨
These powders are on the thinner side, so it may require more dips than you’d usually do. That could have accounted for the cracking and chipping ❤️
@@MarlaKris That's good to know. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I'm going to try some Revel dip powders next though.
These are the only dip liquids I’ve used, and I definitely get dip flu from them. Realized it after my third time using, and it’s a week later and I’m still congested and sneezing 🤧 The liquids and powder are great though if you’re lucky not to get sick!
It’s crazy how different out experiences with the same products can be.
I love it. Good job. I watch in time bc I get mine tomorrow
Really classy, loving the baby pink
Now you’re making me want to try them 🙄🤣 I had no clue they made dips!
😂🤣 I didn’t know either! And you kinda should lol 😉
How long do your nails last with the peel base?
It depends! If I do a lot of dishes that week lol only a day or two. If I make the kids do dishes.. maybe 4-5 days!
I agree, Rossi liquids are strong. Only liquids that have given me an allergic reaction!!
Can you try the beetles gel x tips and review it for us
Already ordered and should be here in august 😉
Does it still work without the clear dip?
Yep 100%. The clear is only to protect the pigment from filing and to add strength. I’d still recommend picking up a clear for those reasons, but it’s not “necessary” 💜
Love watching your videos and love this set tyfs 💖💕
I currently use Beetles and think they are ok. Prices are reasonable and odor is mild. Powders we’re good too. I don’t like the top coat though. It takes too long to dry and isn’t as shiny as gel. I prefer a gel topcoat. I stopped using regular nail polish because of the long dry times so I have no patience for anything that takes longer then 5 minutes to dry. I invested quit a bit of money into dips and gels so I expect instant dryness.
Yess! I love Beetles, this was my very 1st kit 😍
Beetles was the first nail product I bought. They are my Amazon favorite!
The e-file link only took me to a charger.
It may be sold out 🥺 I do have some other options listed in my amazon storefront ❤️
About the liquid odors. Sparkle & Co liquids gave me migraines, and I’m totally fine with Rossi. So weird.
Super weird! I just ordered the new sparkle and co “low odor” liquids so I’ll be trying them soon!
I would to see a follow up video on how long dip powder nails last. No one shows this
That’s mostly because they will last more or less time depending on how you prep, your natural nails, lifestyle, etc. but I can generally get up to 3 weeks with no lifting 🫶🏻
@@MarlaKris I just finished putting on Gelish dip powder. Can’t wait to see how long they last. Thank you for doing these informative videos. They are great.
@@anitawatson1028 of course!! Please report back and lmk how they held up for you!
@@MarlaKris still going strong after almost 2 weeks.
@@anitawatson1028 that’s outstanding!! 🙌🏻
Beautiful mani, that's what cats do walk away😁.
😂😂🤣 they couldn’t care less 🙄
@@MarlaKris 😁
Wow! Great review!
Beetles has ALOT of dip kits. I'm not much for dipping but I love their brand
I had no idea! I’ve used their gels and liked them tho!
First. Yay. Happy Monday Marla
Pliers work great
Beautiful!!!!
Single female problems lol the only tools I have are a hammer and a set of screw drivers 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you for the review, I have seen this brand on Amazon! And I do the same to my dog, shes also useless LOL! But she makes me laugh so ya know!
😂🤣 damn fur babies!
Pretty combo 💅❤️
Thanks, darlin! 💙
Anyone else come to the videos after you've watched them just to chillax to the music?? No? Just me? 😂😂
You make my heart smile 🥰
Great video!
Don’t know how I knew she was going to say Rossi gave her dip flu but I knew it. Same for me.
Uuuuh you didn’t show the filing
I don’t usually file in every video only bc it’s so hard to do on camera and remain in frame BUT im happy to link my filing routine if you’d like to see how I do it! th-cam.com/video/kAnWzvTRBOE/w-d-xo.html
Now I gotta buy it!!! Lol
Lol it’s a good one!
I use players. 😂😂
😀
Voiceover in the giggles sometimes it's a little annoying. Try getting a wrench in with your dominant hand apply the wrench to the cap and twist ever so lightly it'll come undone
I thought they were pretty thin lol hmmm. LOL

Aren’t you just so pretty in pink!? But where is Marla? You have had her for about a week now. We would like her back, you weird alien Marla-taker thing.
In due time, sweet Amy. In due time 😈
@@MarlaKris I’m scared.
Your excessive talking is super annoying but nails look great
🤣😂
