Hi Mino, I can't attach any files here, it won't go, as I mentioned in my video you can take a screen shot of the drawings or give me your email address and I can email them to you. Thanks.
Nice Video. Update suggestion for the future would be a variable speed motor and controller, and as you mentioned water drain tube. You could also get pulleys from Lortone tumbler replacement parts possibly or cast pulleys for v-belts (not as desirable but would work).
Thanks Phillip for the info, as I mentioned in the video, I used motors that I have around and yes I had one with variable speed that I built and I sold the machine to a friend of mine. Thank you for watching the video!
Thanks for the drawings! I suspect you took drafting in school judging by the professional style. Is there a reason for using pulleys and a belt instead of just using direct drive from the motor shaft?
Hi Ken, yes I’m a mechanical engineer and I did took drafting. Your question is a very good one, however, by building a stronger shaft supported by bearings will take the pressure while working, having said that, you still can use direct shaft if the diameter is larger, but the problem is you also get a bigger motor that you can’t house under the machine. Thanks for the question and thank you for watching my videos.
Yes I am, but lately I've been so busy with my work and traveling I don't have the time to scratch my head, Lapidary and Metalsmithing is only a hobby for me; However, I have a couple of videos to do, one on sweat solder and the other on how to build a pressure wax dispenser to make wax for casting so please don't give-up and stay tuned Thanks for watching my videos!
@@ElieGhanimeEG thank you Elie i love watching you and how you explain things i build all my own cutting machines and polishing machine to cut my opal out of scrap i have and slowly getting some silver together to try silversmithing
