The work they did on the puppets in this film is incredible. One trying I like about stop motion is that it'll never end up looking dated like CG stuff
I really hate that criticism of "CG stuff," that it will look dated. The only reason it can look dated is because it's a young technology that is constantly improving. If anything that's one of the merits of CG, which is still an art form requiring tremendous time and skill.
Amazing! They really elevated the story with the boards--there were some great subtle choices like both characters leaning into the camera at 0:48 that made you feel what was happening!
Okay idk how I never noticed this but when other mother says "apologize at once coraline" it sounds almost like she's going to cry, like if she was hurt by what coraline said, implying that she cared about Coraline atleast a little bit. Atleast those are my thoughts lol!
I don't know if I'm thinking too hard but the "I'll give you to the count of three" thing (could or could not) be a reference to filthy angels with filthy souls.
Thank you so much for creating my favourite movie! Loved it since I was 4 ♡ It's so cool to see the development and hard work that went into this brilliant film
Wow... A comic wouldn't do justice to the story. I realise that it is a rough sketch but it's different to hear and see the action as it goes... Teri is also awesome in this, Dakota too! Wow just wow.
I like how the storyboard has a tad bit of unshaded/uncolored space around the outline. Almost like a kindergartener (with college level mental capabilities) with way too much on his/her mind drew up a doodle
There was actually a human scale recreation of that couch for the traveling Coraline museum exhibit. Y'all could probably help finance another movie just by selling a licensed Coraline furniture line.

This scene was so cool but so horrifying

Crying is a way for manipulators to control people, too. She probably was just being her terrible self.
@@StoutShakoTrue, and that’s an impressive detail to add to her character. Teri Hatcher really did a great job portraying the Other Mother.
Cared abt her eyes. since she eats kids. I’d care if my food was tryna run away yoo
the :30 shot of the original storyboard coraline looking at the cocoa beetles has me cackling 🤣
This scene was the scariest in my opinion when I was just a child. Been living rent free in my head for years. YEARS I TELL YOU. 😰

Oh, you mean from home alone? 😄
I love this movie and I always will
Me to

one of the best movies out there 😄💙🖤💙
1:06 Death is definitely upon us.
"The dark side of other mother"
So you're saying she's not already dark???
I love how all that furniture looks like bugs
I want replicas of those
I have the replica of the Doll from the movie

Thats the scene were I would turn it of as a kid, I got over the dad piano scene but that was to much
We want a Coraline part 2
Absolutly
Personally don't feel that it needs a new sequel. Its already perfect the way it is
Why? The story is over.
Henry Selick's films don't get a sequel.
No we don’t. They’ll probably ruin it somehow.
The Other Mother is way less powerful than The Corridor monster. Hi btw
0:29 Coraline like "Girl, what is you doing!?"
Honestly the story board is giving me Psychonauts vibes
make coraline 2 pls
0:25 what’s that blue bug thing supposed to be?
What type of furniture is it supposed to be?
the butler bug? not sure what type of bug it is but i think its supposed to be a lamp
praying mantis maybe?
Huh…… so that’s the child’s POV of a parent counting to 3
Spooky! :)
AMO.
She more terrifying than the 2017 pennywise because she eats children too .
They should do the next one of the girls ghost children
1:08 it's Mommy Long Legs
Love
We have to get Henry Selick back to Disney.
I really really want to see storyboard of the button eyes deal scene someday
Beware the ravenous wolves who hide in innocent wooly coats.
hi
YEET 0:45
0:10 Death is upon us.
I love the design of Coraline in the Storyboard better than the actual film, Not to be rude, but her design looks kinda ugly in the final verison
