Thanks for doing a quality, informative review on that pfd. I was looking for a high float jacket and will try this one out.

Great review - I need to check that PFD out as a high water option

Wear the same jacket for the rowdier stuff, love it. I also like how it’s a full back and front which helps add a little extra layer of protection from rocks.

Great review. I volunteer SARand have been looking for a nice PFD that both has useable pockets and good molle to attach a radio pouch to. This one caught my interest over everything else but theres very little information available. I think you pretty much sold me on it.

Stolquist Canyon is a high flotation, 26 lbs and around $125.

"this pfd has too much floatation." Zach Collier and gear garage. It actually is a problem in many situations

Brady, I have and wear different PFD's that have different levels of flotation based on the river I am running. In large volume rivers and/or spring flows, give me the high float jacket! That's all I am saying. Hope you find the right PFD for your needs. I think the Stolquist Canyon you mentioned has a "pillow" on the back but I cannot tell for sure from the pics. In my opinion the pillows don't really help with flotation.

That PFD has the right amount of flotation - especially for bigger people and high volume rivers

@@GearGarageTV I'd agree with that part except it's a rescue jacket that is stupidly expensive. And as you and this video point out, people either take the harness off or use it for paddles. Makes no sense to purchase this instead of a regular high volume jacket for $100. There are plenty of other options less than half the cost of this.
