The latest game 2017 is really weird IMO...so many different subspecies but no staple animals such as Zebras, Wolves, Gorillas, Orangutans, Leopards (including Snow Leopards), Cheetahs, Hyenas, Foxes... I mean there is like 10 different bear subspecies and yet there is no Big Panda?!?! Also missing Camels, Bisons and Buffalos...no Crocodiles and Alligators...just to mention "a few"...all in all very weird game approach from a species pov...I don't even have an issue with the fact you cannot adjust the size and shape of habitats but the main issue for me is the too many subspecies of the same animals even when difference is minimal (f.e. lions or jaguars) and at the same time no animals I mentioned previously...
@@milicarajkovic4553 yes, but Planet Zoo is not meant to be a game just to put animals in habitats, but its goal is to trully design and manage a zoo. In ZT2 it wasn't possible to set prices, and we basically were forced to build plain "naked" habitats. Planet Zoo is a trully zoo simulator and its only beaten by ZT2 in regards to reptiles and birds not lying eggs and with regards to the path system. Anyway I'm still playing ZT2 and I enjoy it...

What i don like about third generations are the introduction of subespecies just by recoloring, most of them doesnt even have the proper design, size or coloration (tamandua and two toed sloth), also the lack of building is something to miss.

If they make a ZT3, take ZT2 but With all the Radical Remake biomes and features Graphics similar to the ones in Ultimate Animal Collection A subspecies feature for some animals where it allows you to select from variants. Original animal biome won’t change (eg Plains Zebra and Quagga won’t change biomes and will both be savannah, but Lowland Gorilla (Rainforest) and Mountain Gorilla (Montane) will be listed as separate creatures. Marine Mania- This time with many fish species, adding smaller animals like the Humpback Anglerfish, Vampire Squid, Fangtooth, Pelican Eel, Moray Eel, and such. Something that I find weird about zoo tycoon ultimate animal collection. Is that they have like 6 different agoutis, yet no zebras.

I want the original( complete collection ) but because there is no such things as old cheap things, I am worried I can’t find one without damage ( I have the Xbox edition and ty2 ultimate and it is worth it)
I hated how you constantly had to repair the land of the big dinosaurs in the first game.
I worked around that by building moats behind the plants and rocks. They can't swim.

zoo tycoon 1 had no right to go that hard with the dinosaur and whale sizes. that’s one of my problems with zoo tycoon 2, the size is wayyyy more reduced with nearly every animal. and out of all of them the sloth has to be the biggest? ._.
ngl having played ZT2 first I was used to it, so the sloth being gigantic made it really intimidating despite the goofy appearance XD

Zt2 is on windows as far as ik. The game is also available on mac but only the base game, not the expansions. There's no linux version of ZT2 at all.

I doubt it changes much. ZT2 has always worked as I upgraded my PC over the years.
