About the curved claws: they’re comics accurate with the 1980s X-Men comics of the era, when John Byrne created the Brown costume. Wolverine’s claws were shaped more like actual animal claws than knives or razors then.

bruh mafex should start doing more villains, classic/90s animated series/apocalypse sabretooth would be so dope! im a big fan of villains just as much as the heroes! give us more villains. Juggernaut, sabretooth, apocalypse, sinister, omega red, etc.

The 80's Sabretooth is amazing, the Jim Lee/Capcom looking one is amazing, and the zombie version is amazing. They scale great with Wolverine too. Of course the only thing is no dynamic poses...but it's okay when they're sculpted _that_ perfectly.
Once again Mafex hitting it out of the park improving on the issues of Tiger stripe and giving us a definitive brown suit Wolverine up ther with TDKR Batman, Hush Superman, Catwoman and Spider-man.

That's the enigma of Mafex. You have true 5 star figures like their Gambit with it's more intricate design and then simple designs like this Wolverine which somehow ends up sloppy. That's the frustration, in knowing they have and can do better.

The ring light shit is frustrating but hopefully you figure out a work around. Now that everybody has them you see light rings everywhere 😂
Your set-up is so good! Super clear 4k, great lighting + the excellent purple gradient background really helped the figure POP. Good stuff man :D I ordered 2 of this guy and both had the trap issue you highlighted, I noticed it as well.. it's not SUPER pronounced but it was definitely equal on both. I ended up swapping parts between the two for paint defects until I got one that was next to perfect. This is probably my favorite figure of 2021, one of Mafex BEST releases.. people please don't sleep on this guy until he is 300$.. if you want this guy and you look at the 100+ pricepoint and go "nah" you are just going to kick yourself when its 300$ like Superman or the original spiderman release.. MAFEX has NOT done re-releases of this stuff.

Due to speculation on Collectors wanting to build out a Mafex X-Men team. There is currently only one place that has it for less than $100 and there is only 3 left in stock last time I checked.
Having no nostalgia attachment, the tiger stripe looks much better. The lack of shoulder pads and the weird choice for the exposed flesh on his chest just doesn't translate, plus with the QC paint issues it just looks unfinished. If his arms falling out were fixed that's a big plus though.
2:54 Damn man. I mean I knew something was off with the torso on yours, but didn't realize how Mr. Fantastic it looked. My tiger stripe has the exact same proportions as the brown suit. If you pop off the parts and compare them to the brown suit, you should be able to fix yours...unless it's some damn manufacturing defect.

Really strange comment about proportions when they're literally the same mould with the exception of the upper shoulders and arms being different. Also different claws. So the proportions are nearly identical. Such a strange observation for someone who reviews figures professionally that you draw such an inaccurate statement.
I swear mafex has terrible issues with paint. Idk how everything looks so nice, but the paint is always terrible on every single one. And I’m an idiot that keeps buying them 😓
This thing is a masterpiece. Mafex' best comic figure since Spider-Man. Hoping for a Daredevil later down the line!

honestly it would be cool if mafex did both styles for every wolverine fig, that way if youre a straight claw kinda guy u can use them and vice versa

This Mafex Wolverine is perfect. It feels like a mesh of John Byrne's Art & McFarlane's rendition from the Spiderman: Perceptions storyline.
