I grew up in 60's 70's Liverpool, England the daughter of a merchant seaman who spent so much of his career in the Caribbean. I was conceived in St Lucia and all my life my father played The Merrymen. Archie was my favourite song as a little girl. Thanks for uploading this and other Merrymen songs. Brings back many wonderful memories.
Oh my gosh, Dad used to play this in the 60s, my brother and I were about 6 and 7 years old. We used to dance and have fun at family parties; Auntie Audrey used to love this song too!
