Thanks - I didn't like the look of other aftermarkets that hang down and yeah ground clearance won't be as good. Not as cheap as the only drawback especially seeing how the price for this part has gone up significantly since I did the video.
there are two circle outlines on the bumper cover at bottom where the trim bezel fits in. You have to drill out the trim bezel and those circles. The pop rivets then secures the trim bezel to the bumper cover through those holes. That part was corrupted on the camera so wasn't able to include it in the video unfortunately.
The trailer hitch kit comes with a trailer wire harness which plugs into a pre-existing connector that is found under the rear bumper as shown in the video on all vehicles.
I found a Chevy parts dealer online with the cheapest price. Good place to start is google "equinox [year] trailer hitch package". Also don't forget the trim bezel which needs to be purchased separately.
You will need to contact your local Chevy service department to print out the installation guide. This is referenced in the installation sheet included with the kit. I don't have a copy available anymore to help sadly.
GM sells that as a separate optional piece unfortunately. It would make since they include that with the "trailer hitch package". The part is called trailer hitch trim bezel and part number for 2018 - 2021 models is: 84151503
Looks more expensive today than when I did the install. Search for Part # 85111903 for trailer hitch and 84151503 for the trim bezel. Prices vary by the Chevy parts dealer - so check around for the best price.
Beautiful job
@@diegoleitemendes9932 Thank you!
amazing job - well done
What was the torque setting you used to mount the hitch at 7:06 ?
Good video. I put a curt on my terrain but ground clearance sucks. Thinking of changing it to this.

How long did this take you to install?
All in - probably 5 - 6 hours given I had no prior knowledge and was just following the manufacturer instructions.
