Same, that’s why I always was uneasy about a possible comeback (and I always knew they wouldn’t just cash in on their old stuff). And some of Björn’s recent works were absolutely not to my taste.
This song will be a masterpiece after a decade just like super trouper it should be a number one on the chart but it went only number two on the billboard chart but after 4 decades its totally a masterpiece.
Well, THIS American has adored ABBA from day one and still does. Also, many of their songs charted quite well here and got oodles of airplay back in the day. Rest assured there is a huge contingent of ABBA fans on this side of the pond. :)
LOVE IT!!! ABBA continues to play an emotional part in peoples lives and it was inevitable their influence would inspire art forms and make their way into the collective memory for later generations…I don’t see this as a comeback…they never left. ❤️
The nostalgia is very strong all of a sudden. I wish I could go back to a simpler time when ABBA ruled the world. They are pure magic and they mean so much to so many so coming back now is like a dream. Just perfect really:)

The best reaction video I have seen so far! 👍 My first vinyl singel was Ring Ring with Abba 43 years ago and I have been a fan since then! Sounds like the just left and now they are back, then and now combined! 🙂
Oh my goodness how did I miss this video Gabi? I am/was obsessed with ABBA!! I honestly believe I was born at an amazing time in music because the 60’s and 70’s set the stage for so many classics. I was also blessed to have such a large age gap between myself and my siblings (21 yrs) that I was able to enjoy a little bit of everything. You are truly my spirit twin.
I myself born in 1983. My ABBA exposure came to a cassette tape from my father(overseas worker) in the 90s. Love those music from them and other underrated ones. They are my best singers from the 70s category( along Queen, Bee Gees in those).
I love Abba!! Agnetha's voice is magical, as well as Frida"s. The men were genius at song writing and producing the music. Their videos, were ahead of their time. What can I say they were the best!!! I am thrilled that they are back!!!! You are so sweet to let us know about it!!!
I think you are spot on. The lyrics are profound, and I also find that the "then and now combined" applies to many ABBA fans who are old enough to have experienced it in "real time" so to speak. I mean, I remember when ABBA did Waterloo and then never stopped being a fan when I was in my teens in the mid to late 70-s - it's not the same experience now, of course, but they do revive my 13-18 year old self in my much older shell. It is magical! I am so happy that my kids now get to experience watching ABBA in real time too.
You can hear clear distinctions between Agnetha who is a soprano and Frida who is a mezzo soprano and their intricate, sublime harmonies; with outstanding compositions from the two geniuses, Benny and Bjorn. Perfection personified.
OMG, I love them all over again (I'm 55 y.o). They still have a powerful impact. They deliver what the worlds really needs right now: Love , Hope and Friendship.
I loved this so, so much. My reactions to this song was similar, especially when that piano came in … This really is everything I could have hoped for. This is playing on everyone’s heartstrings.
I'm not the same this time around because I was just born and now, nearly 40. I can't get enough listenning to this song and can't wait for the album. The first new abba album that I will get. It's just Abba-tistic ! ...
2 am and here I am correcting my students' exams and suddenly I started to watch your reaction of my favourite music band, ABBA. You are so good at doing this. ABBA has been and will go on being part of my life, part of myself. This song brings joy and tears , but tears of happiness because this masterpiece has all the virtues and beauty of their songs. I feel so happy, so free when I listen to ABBA. Love your reaction . Thanks for reacting to ABBA Love from Argentina ( Marcelo) .
I'm just thrilled!!! It really is quintessential Abba!! Oh my heart.... When I was a young single mother I would play Abba on my turntable and my daughter and I would dance...much to my poor son's dismay lol. This went on through the years until my children left home. One day my grown son came to visit...I had it playing...he said "omg STILL mom????" haha yes. always. xx
I was born in 71. My mom used to sing their songs to me growing up. What a time it was. There was nobody who could top them and they shaped me as a musician today. I actually cried when I first heard this song. The nostalgia is overwhelming, the world was a simpler place.

Great that someone else picked that up too. I thing it's something in the music, if it's the bass or something else in the background, that was used on that song too. And the piano is pure dancing queen.
