Very well done video and commentary. I am from Pakistan and deeply fascinated by this area. I have traveled a lot in this region adjoining Pakistan and always wished I could go to the Indian side. Now at the age of 75 and bad relations between the two countries, I have no luck to be there. You may imagine how valuable this video is for people like me.
Be hopeful, you can apply for visa and you can come legally and visit India.

I planned ladakh trip after watching this video and just 10 days left and i came to know that himachal bikes are not allowed in Ladakh.. we have to rent bikes from leh that too cost double.. 2000 average for 12 hours.. full day means 4000.. 😬🤬 full plan ruined.. and this issue is not new it's since 2013.... You have to pay rent for the bike rented from manali plus bike rent in Ladakh.... Don't know how this will help tourists?

Wanted to ask if it is the case that we won't be allowed to go there after a particular date, or it is just that we're not recommended because of possible snowfalls? (Because will be having spare days, in case any snowfall stretches the total duration of the trip)
see if snowfall happens after October 15 then BRO only opens the road for rescue purposes so its not recommended to travel at that time at least try in last week of september

Don't follow this video... Main information not given.. hp bikes are not allowed in Ladakh... At leh you have to rent another bike...rent is double that too for 12 hours.... I did planning after watching this video but now completely devastated to know all this shit . It will cost around 30k for 8 days trip.

Are there car rental with experienced driver available for the whole journey from Manali?
Also are there oxygen issues at such high altitudes
Companies carry o2 cylinders sometimes and yes you will get experienced
There will be low oxygen at high altitudes. You need to aclimitize few days before going to high mountains by staying in low altitude for 2 -3 days. You better purchase oxygen bottles, blood oxygen meter.

I have visited Ladakh but not by road. There’s no parallel for the rugged beauty of Ladakh. It is so different from rest of India. The landscape, the people, the food, dress everything is different. I would say it is the best foreign country within India.

@@mohanborana We all bikers know this. My sympathies, you couldn't gather this info before visiting. This was exactly why we rode our bikes from Pune to Ladakh and back again 😊
