Electrical Panel Upgrades - A key to scaling home electrification

Does home electrification require a panel upgrade? Maybe not. As more homeowners learn about the advantages of electrifying heating and cooking and replace gas cars with EVs, the humble electrical panel becomes a focus of attention. In some homes, this workhorse appliance could be a bottleneck as the demand for additional circuits and more power increases. Older homes in particular may have 100 amp panels or insufficient circuit breaker space to power the 240V loads needed for heat pumps or EV charging. Excellent! We're gradually electrifying our house...switched to a heat pump water heater this year & plan to get a heat pump furnace/AC next year. Thought we'd have to expand our electric panel to do that, but now, thanks to this excellent webinar, I know we've got other, better options! Thank you!
