唐武德九年，内廷生变，原太子之女李长歌侥幸逃出。逃亡途中，长歌偶遇化名为秦准的草原部落特勤阿诗勒隼，两人不打不相识，渐生英雄相惜之感。长歌在幽州粉碎一场阴谋，与此同时身份败露，前往㮶州避祸。她藏于㮶州刺史公孙恒身边，助其共抗草原势力侵袭，却未想到敌方将领隼竟是旧识秦准。长歌震惊痛心。然而㮶州情况危急，为争取时间等待援兵，李长歌与隼谈判，为大局甘愿沦为战俘被押往草原，意外得知大可汗另有野心。长歌决定暂放私仇，以身涉险拼死破局，隼为救长歌不惜与大可汗为敌，两人却阴差阳错天各一方。长歌辗转流亡，历经风雨的她逐渐领会仁者无敌的道理，最终彻底放下个人恩怨。在发现前隋势力才是挑动事端的幕后黑手后，长歌与隼联手为守护大唐与草原的和平贡献了自己的力量，两人也终于认清了对彼此的情感，携手共赴危局。
►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

JD: Very clever. Now, I wish I could have you stay here at the temple.
CG: Jing Dan, where should I go to search for the way of heaven?
JD: (more idioms :'[ ) You even found your own true intentions. How can you say you haven't found the way of heaven?
CG: I see.
JD: Now that you have found them, can you tell what your true intentions are?
CG: I used to believe that I could take back everything I lost. But now I know what I need to confront. I'm not satisfied but I don't want to wait any longer. I want to see the Tang dynasty flourish while I am still alive. I want to end (kill) this chaotic time with my own hands, even ruthlessly slash/stab it.
JD: Do you know what you're saying?
CG: No violation of my true intentions. (I actually understand this idiom YAY)
JD: Yes, thanks to my foolishness, how could you be a survivor who spends each day calmly?
(I never learnt Chinese idioms growing up so I couldn't translate everything but I hope you guys still get the general idea :) )

The story somewhat differs from the comic. In the comic changge really weren't that stupid, the whole alir suicide and saving tang with an arrow didn't happen. For me mimi guli betrayal should've been used somehow in the plot (she should've been ded by now if we follow the comic). The way it is right now, i feel like i won't be able to pardon changge if i were sun lol, she indirectly killed sun's mother .
But, it is a good plot to showcase wu lei's acting + give him the sad lover boi vibes lol.

以为女主会有多了不起像木兰那般女豪杰。没想到只会给男主惹麻烦。女主太冲动了，根本没用大脑。想说女主不是从小读书习武吗，怎么那么废？看了都觉得很烦。她不是想报复叔叔吗？有在计划吗？根本都忘了她离开的目的就是要回来报复叔叔。她根本都没有在筹划什么。每天都是去找人求助，每次都害死人。有本事但没法起兵只能去投靠什么旧部下老将军等等的。而且有问过叔叔真的杀死了她全家吗?见了那么多次面也没看她有多想杀死叔叔。
