Indech mellowed out underneath the lake, chilling and emerging every so often while Macuil stirred in hatred for what happened to him and his people, and despises basically everyone but the other Saints because of it.

Considering that Indech spent centuries out in this lake, far away from humans and surrounded only by his phantom soldiers, I'd argue that the lore from Seteth was pretty accurate. It may not necessarily be that he hates her, but recognizes that anyone with the Crest of Flames has a very good chance of having gotten it through ill means or being descended from the guy who killed her.
Tbh there was a missed opportunity to give bernadetta special dialogue since she has the crest of indech which means indech gave her ancestor blood at some point

I gave it to Byleth, who I had as a sniper on my CF run (which is the only time I did this paralogue). I played this game three times, and out of all three, I think Inexhaustible-wielding sniper Byleth might have been my best Byleth.
Leigh Needleman Byleth could attack most enemies four times with Inexhaustible though. Unless I’m misremembering, the most Hunter’s Volley gives you is two consecutive hits. Plus, my other bow user was Bernadetta, and she did just fine using the Brave Bow.

Hunter's volley only gives the brave effect but it doesn't allow you to double with combat arts hence no quad. Snipers don't need brave weapons for this reason, but they can't quad. Unless it's different from other combat arts. But every other combat art does NOT allow you to double normally.

all defeated opponents disappear when defeated, tho not all are explicitly killed, plus, even if he's not at his peak anymore, there's no way they could kill Indech for good. (unless they explicitly try to kill him, not just defeat him.)
