Hi Scott. I am currently a freshman in high school in AP Biology. I have a decent grade in the class (94-96) and was very interested in the USNCO/Chemistry Olympiad. I am currently starting to read Raymond Chang's General Biology. What books/resources do you recommend to prepare for the local and next-level exam to eventually make the top 20 camp? I already know of the practice exams. Thank you.
Everyone I know does the practice exams, takes AP or IB chemistry and if they're going for the national level they study some organic chemistry. We tried using Shriver/Atkins inorganic and Atkins Physical Chemistry a little bit (they're not much help honestly, but very interesting/advanced for after organic), but the exams are really the most efficient way to learn everything. Here's our school's chem olympiad stuff sites.google.com/site/pcepchemistryolympiad/
Thanks ❤️
