मुंबई में जन्मे भक्तचरण दास, साधारण परिवार से आते हैं, जिन्होंने अपने माता-पिता से दूर रहकर कई चुनौतियों और संघर्षों का सामना किया। वे धन के आभाव और कठिन परिस्थितियों के कारण अपनी पढाई पूरी नहीं कर पाए और सब्जियां बेचने लगे।
भक्तों से मिलने के बाद उन्होंने मंदिर की रसोई को संभाला और कई यात्राओं में ५००० से अधिक लोगों का भोजन बनाने की सेवा करने लगे।
आज वे २ विभिन्न समूह में नए भक्तों का मार्गदर्शन करते हैं। और साथ ही साथ अहिंसा-दूध परियोजना में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण सेवाएं दे रहे हैं।
