Have you ever thought about lifting your bed up higher and /or using that space for storage? I love my p,astc flat bins on rollers that slide in and out. Also, if you are into tiny houses, they use a lot of multifunctional furniture...a chair that is also storage or a table that is also a kitchen island. But at the end of the day, if you like it, that is All that matters. Love Beemo.

the thing i like about east asia is that no matter how small the place, you almost always get a washer with it. in the states, unless you have a house, public laundromat it is. such a waste of time and not exactly hygienic 😩
My husband and I live in a small 1 room and 1 bathroom also. We have sectioned an area for my husband to do his bonsai hobby which is also very pretty to look at. Our bed has drawers for clothes. I use command strips to hang things on the walls. As for alone time that's what our tablets and headphones are for. We both enjoy different things so two tablets are perfit. We have a mini dashound also. As far as my hobby I sketch so I don't need much space for that. My husband and I have been married for 45 years so we don't really argue anymore. Lol. I think you’re right when you say that people need a lot less space than they think.
I feel your pain about not hanging things up in a rental. If you want to put stuff on the walls, I've had luck with those command/3M removable strong hooks and velcro - you can even hang paintings on them, and they just peel off!

Sarah, what about finding a small short table with calisable legs. When not in use find small hanger screws or clips that go under the top of your table to hide it away while not in use. Check out tiny home living and you might be able to come up with something that will work for you. God bless you all, love watching your videos. Keep up the good work. Another 국제커플 also living in Korea here. We also live in a 원룸 but ours is significantly larger than yours but STILL it feels so tight for storage. I think I'd actually have a nervous meltdown if I had to live in yalls space, claustrophobia man. More power to you for handling that. Also, I feel like in a genuine relationship where there is real mutual love and support, "fights" don't really happen. My guy and I have been living together almost 2 years and we've never had a fight. We have disagreements and long serious talks, but never yelling or fighting.
It's funny bc my hubby and I are usually in the same room with each other all the time and we live in a small house. I think we're like you guys and don't really fight. We have misunderstandings or get annoyed, but we will stay in the same room during it, we just don't talk to each other. Lol until one of us apologizes a few mins later. I've always thought we'd do well in a tiny space. And less room for him hoard computer parts! 😂 Thank you for this video! I am having a rough morning and this brightened my day!

Thanks for sharing your insights about living in a one room environment. I also wondered how you guys survive living that way but was afraid to ask. You both are a lovely couple and being so compatible, you ARE able to live in a one room space. :-) Beemo is so adorable --- I love all of his expessions; especially his beautiful eyes.
Just curious Sarah, have you gotten a group of friends to go out to dinner or just hang out? We see when Kyuho goes out with his friends but you never share your adventures. Just wondering, please if I am being to nosy, ignore. Thanks again for sharing your videos.
I don’t go out as much as Kyuho, because 1. I’m an introvert (lol), and 2. Many of my friends have left Korea, so my group of friends has shrunk quite a bit over the last few years~
@@2hearts1seoul I can totally relate to this. I'm going into my 5th year in Korea and have been with my Korean boyfriend for 2.5 years. The longer we stay in Korea the smaller my core group of friends becomes as people move back home, whereas he will always have his school and work friends to do stuff with.

반반 영상 좋아요 뭔가 더 소통하는 시간 처럼 느껴져서 그런가봐요ㅎㅎ 거의 초창기부터 지켜봤던 구독자로서 그래도 예전 집보다는 크다는 얘기에서 살짝 웃었어요ㅋㅋ 서울에 살면서 매년 캐나다 여행 비용도 모으셔야 하고.. 여러 여건상 지금 당장 더 큰 집으로 이사하기는 어려워도 또 그만큼 즐기시는 것도 있으신거 같아서 나쁘게 보이진 않아요 매번 영상 편안하고 재미있게 보고 있어요 언젠가 더 좋은 집으로 이사가실 때까지 응원할게요
Nice Vanna White impression Sarah haha! Per my Vet wife, it's good you have 2 litter boxes for Beemo. She says you're supposed to have 1 more litter box than number of cats since they don't like dirty litter boxes and gives them more options. Our 50lb (23kg) dog does that same type of thing on my shoulder sometimes or straight up rests her front legs on my shoulder like I'm an arm rest lol. Silly pets! Also, when you guys fight, since your space is super small, do one of you ever just leave to clear your head? Like go down stairs or maybe to a near by cafe? I suppose that could be like "slamming the door" for a small space?

I used to live in a studio with my wife, sister, two dogs, two cats. One day we got an air filter and the room (1, lol) was cleared of this dust haze we didn't realize we were living in. It was like smog.

1. What was that filming segment for? Was it the Asia news thing or was it something I missed?
2. The trains are packed in Korea, I’ve heard, especially at rush hour. It’s so packed one of my Korean friends told me it’s like squeezing a toothpaste. You push one more person into one door and another person immediately pops out of the other door XD One reason I don’t like public transportation and bought a car.
3. Was Sarah not interested in musicals? Or was it the boys night out?

Your apartment is very European-style (floor plan wise), it reminds me of my grandparents' house back home - especially with the bathroom being right next to the front door. That's actually a very common feature where I'm from. I also hadn't thought of the whole 'not being able to go anywhere' thing like that actually. I feel like that's a good 'con', because (as you said) its better, in my opinion, to be forced to make up rather than sit there being upset with each other.
I hope the filming turned out well! And hopefully more projects like that come your way in the future!

it's a studio then, since bedroom has no door...many places in asia are small, esp capital cities. that's pretty good actually....many hk homes that size are shared by entire family of 4.

친구가 잠실 석촌호수랑 올림픽공원 사이 사는데 위치가 참 좋더군요.
맛집도 많고 서울에서 경기권 가기도 가깝고 해서 참 좋은 동네라 생각됩니다.지금은 해외 살지만 한국에 산다면 잠실에 살고 싶더라구요.

That's why i also like them...some people complain so much..while they have so much..yet they are so happy and appreciate all they have...makes me evaluate and appreciate what i have also... don't worry guys people like to question and think that everybody should live like everybody else for them to live to the normal standards...i also live in a container house with 2 rooms and is like 3 times bigger than your house and still people question why i live like this.. and not in a house. People have to know than their normal is not everybodys normal..and tiny house and tiny spaces are on the rise. People want to pay less and enjoy more.

When I was living in Seoul I was renting an apartment in the 4th floor for 610,000w (including heating, electricity, wifi etc.) that had 2,5 rooms and a bathtub/shower. It wasn't even that far away from popular areas. The subway station was a 8 minute walk, the bus station was right behind the house. Subway took me like 12 min. to Hogndae without a transfer and the bus stopped in Sinchon, etc. Comparing that price to my apartment in Germany I'm paying the same right now (and the environment ist so much more boring :D).

I think it's ok to live in a small space if you can save in the rent and have all the stores and services near. And you look so comfortable anyway so why change if you're happy with the living arrangement~ I used to live in center of a town by myself and the apartment actually looked about same size as you have. Now that I study, I moved back to my parents house because I'm going for exchange next month (to Korea actually :P ) so I don't have to spend my money for a rent in my country. BUT now I'm used to bigger space again since my parents have a big house and when I come to Korea I'm going to stay in dormitory with two other people in the same room. So I'm kinda half excited, half terrified about the living arrengement. But living in a dorm in Seoul is waaaay cheaper than in private goshiwon or in apartment so I am willing to sacrifice for that.

In the US, you guys live in what's called a studio apartment. If you have an extra bedroom, that's called a 1-bedroom apartment.
저도 고양님 한마링와 남친과 10평짜리 원룸에서 동거중입니다 저도 항상 제 공간이 너무 필요해요ㅠ 그나마 다행인건 3년 사귀는 내내 저희는 싸운적이 앖다는거죠 그래도 개인공간은 꼭 필요한것 같아요 그래서 이사를 가려고 해도 언제나 문제는 돈이죠 인천에 사는 저도 이런데 서울에서 살면 진짜 시세가 너무 쎄죠

I liked this subject! I live in a studio apartment alone and one of the things that annoys me most is how dusty it gets. But overall I love it! I don't need a lot of space and a studio can be very cozy (: Is all of the furniture yours? Oh and can you hear the neighbors and vice versa?
I also experience it. noisy,moningcall and so on.
