    John, Use a palm sander if you have one to vibrate the thin piece of plywood to get food to move.. it works good.. lol.. dont use sandpaper... just use the vibration on the plywood.. good luck.

    You really out did yourself, I think only someone who actually seen all the work that went into it would appreciate your efforts. Well done.

    I watched this on Saturday and bought the stuff Sunday and made Strawberry cheesecake bites- froze them and they have now been in my freeze dryer for about 15 hours! They are almost done- checking their weight every 2 hours now with only a couple gm loss every couple hours. I can’t wait to let my family try some! I DID already! The are AMAZING! I made banana pudding bites too: they finished a bit faster than the cheese cake bites, but I’ll just take them all out at the same time. I made 2 trays of each using the harvest right green silicone mold. Perfect size!! Thank you John for such wonderful ideas!!

    They have squeeze bottles at Wal mart that looks like it would work better than the syringe. Try the cooking section. They are about $1.00.

    Instead of water, try using white grape juice or unsweetened apple juice. It will enhance the flavor instead of weakening the flavor the way water would. Those of us who do a lot of canning use this method when water is called for. Kind of the same way we use broth/stock when canning veggies and meat, and for the same reasons. Water dilutes the taste. These look amazing, I don't have a freeze dryer yet, but I think just frozen these would be an amazing treat. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us. I can't wait to order myself some silicone molds and make some treats. I just found your channel this morning and love all I have watched and have become a new subscriber. Blessings to you always

    I made these and to say they came out amazing, is an understatement! My only issue is the no-bake cheesecake is now no where to be found. 🥺 I wish I bought more, when I had the opportunity!

    Hey John, this looks fantastic. I wonder if thinning the lemon pie filling with lemon juice instead would prevent the loss of flavor?

    • @JohnInBibs

    • @rabeccalassek9511
      @rabeccalassek9511 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe half lemon juice, half water. Don't wanna get it too tart or too bland. Good idea though.

      @@JohnInBibs - The lemon juice is a wonderful idea. The lemon pie filling isn't lemony enough for me and lemon juice would be great. Either that or make up some lemon curd and use that. Lemon curd is what is used to make Lemon Meringue Pie.

    If you just use that and suck the liquid into it. You don't have to spoon fill it. Love your videos

  • @samsmythe2207
    @samsmythe2207 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Suggest with the plunger complete depressed, you put your empty tip into your lemon pie filling and pull the plunger back. The suction will pull the filling into your syringe, with no messy spooning it in and it running out of the tip.

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice idea and of course it seems obvious to do it that way. Unfortunately a piping syringe has absolutely no suction power.

    Looks tasty and pretty. How long did they take in the freeze dryer?

  • @bethmacodee3859
    @bethmacodee3859 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    John, is adding more lemon to make up for the water dilution really necessary when the Freeze Dryer takes out all the water. The flavor would be stronger in the first place because the water is gone.
    Or, does the added flavoring enhance the flavor after Freeze Drying it, or is it too much?

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These were a process that I spent a lot of time creating. I believe the watering down took away too much flavor so adding that flavor back was just the trick. btw the lemon was my favorite!
