Smell and taste loss since February 2018. Negative MRI, CAT scan, endoTube nothing. I'm now doing acupuncture since October 2018. Coming back gradually but I'm still fasting and praying for healing

Hi there, can sense of smell be restored in most patients with chronic sinusitis? I'm following the Monell Center!

It's been years that i lost my sense of smell. I can't afford the treatment as I am asked by an EENT that i have to have MRI before I will be treated. Is there any other treatment that i can do without spending much.

    Hi !
What about a loss of smell due to inhaling a chemical that burned the olfactory epithelium
Is there a way to recover from this type of damage?
    Thank you for your help

Some ENT's are now aware of the smell training and how it has helped so many people. You can join the smell training group on facebook. Just type in smell training in the search bar. You will learn a lot there. I have now gained about 85% of my smell and taste back since January of 2017

I've had anosmia for over 10 years. No taste or smell 0%. I just discovered that 5mg of prednisone per day restores my taste and smell 100%. My Doctor says no because of side effects. It's my understanding 5mg is a very low dose and not that dangerous compared to not smelling smoke or a gas leak. I'd like to know how much research has been done using low dose prednisone as a treatment. It works perfect for me but my Primary care Dr says no way. What's the consensus?

Did you have nasal discharge before you took the steroids? Or have free air flow with extremely dry nasal passageway?

Lost smell within 17 days after TBI. How do I cure the virus or infection that occurred?
No doctor in Sweden have helped me.
Michael Zazzio was the first one that explained to what happened.

Smell training helped a little, but when I took Alpha lipotic Acid my smell got even better...so I disagree with you.

It's been seven years since this presentation. I would like to know if they have already managed to do any tests in humans.
The truth is that the situation is desperate.

I saw a 1.5 hour video on fifth sense about stem cell therapy and gene therapy. It hasn’t reached human clinical trials but has been tested on mice showing what seems to be pretty good results.
