The entrance of Pinnacle FT is private and should be entered via Blackbutt Mountain Rd about 1 km back on Dark Corner Rd

You are partially right.
I have spoken with 2 people in the area and I have been told that there is an agreement with the council and they have to allowed access to the pinnacle fire trail and to other fire trails.

You have reception when you are on the top section of the trail. I had no signal in the Turon np - I’m with Optus
