Aubry getting a big boat like you did is like taking a bite of food thats way to much, but you slowly chew and chew until the amount gets manageable. I admire your adventurous spirit and your stick to it ness. You will succeed you’ve got the “it” I would likevtonsee you getting architectual help to design and build a master captains suite on the rear of the boat like the pitatevships of old
If you tie the cleat the proper way with the hitch laying in a nice pretty figure 8 and not back over the other rope it’ll always come undone nice and easy. Glad you have a little chief on the bridal look pretty gnarly.
So looks like you learned a valuable lesson about putting locking hitches on your anchor snubber/bridle. I try to share this knowledge with others as I see this all the time. In a heavy pitching sea, you will never get that loose. I always say the right way is the way the Captain wants it done. The Captain is responsible for knowing the vessel and the best way to perform the operations of the vessel. My recommendation for securing your anchor bridle is to put as many figure eights on that cleat that you can fit. It will never pull loose and a locking hitch is not needed. You will always be able to release it. We all never quit learning something new every day, but “Hey! We live here!”
i really like the color palate of your boat and canvas, also its nice to have the weight of a full keel 50 under you when it starts to blow, i liked having the Queen Mary 2 under me from New York to Hamburg.
There's sailing companies that accept fees to become part of the crew. Cooking, steering, watchtower, etc of all things to sail. Costly, but I've been planning a trip like that. Some from Nova Scotia to Easter Island, some Hawaii to Bahamas, there's even a 614 day sail around the world one, 7 days trips all the way up to the 614 day trip. Considering a 14 day, but not the point I'm making. Real wooden ship & sails and the authentic experience. No lame yachting sea traveling so the experience is much more valuable in my opinion. Learning the lines and ropes, sails ect. Stating this because I see no reason why you couldn't do the same thing. Set your dates, organize the crew, set a price, & set some destinations.
...all day everyday, your angels say in every way, "believe as if, live as though you are made of love, you are forevermore" remember this all your days, when you sleep and when you pray, for this is what your angels say...💫 love you Miss Lonestar 🙏
Not a fan of cheating off an anchor bridle. I run my bridle through hawse holes and attach them together with a shackle. Then I take a line to the Samson post to keep the line from shifting between hawse holes. I did comment when you put that anchor on the end of the bowsprit that it was a bad idea.
After all your sailing it is nice to see you give back to the sailing community with your teaching . Congralulations is in order after watching the daily show and the upcoming addition to the family .
I've seen what can happen during a storm in an anchorage with multiple boats. Maybe you should feel more secure when you are alone during a storm. No one to drag on you. I've been watching your Daily Vlog. It's awesome.
Unless I missed it you did not mention that Punta Mita above the little town has homes of the rich and Famous like Bill gates , Oprah Winfrey etc. it is rumored.
I came back ur channel almost after 3 years.. your content is still the same and i really like it.. But your views have really gone down, any reason for that?

That intro was top notch. Great video too. Your woodwork on deck could use some love in the form of varnish or oil.
That was a heck of a storm! Love the videos…. Keep em coming!

I've been in a Semi, an RV, and few different kinds of houses but I think a boat would win. Glad y'all are good

I was just caught sunbathing in the bay by a nosey crew boat. 😒
Observing your patience teaching, I believe you could give it a go, perhaps it's written you should teach!
Thank you!
I don't know about performance or cost maintenance, but you have a better-looking boat thatn any million dollar catamaran or trimaran .
Thank you so much. We love her
