People who are handicapped have a sign that shows they are able to park in their reserved parking. No-one is allowed to park in a fire lane it is against the by-laws of that particular town/city/village.
My wife had someone park next to her handicapped van which was in a legal parking slot the car was in the striped lines next to the kart corral, we had back her van out park on to the road to load her in her van. PEOPLE have no SHAME it's me first and you can go **** off

Good for you. I saw a bunch of cars parked in front of Publix in the fire lane yesterday and to get around them was a pain in the ass. The cars trying to get around them needed my lane to get around and there was so many cars I couldn’t go anywhere because it was a steady line of cars going around them and I had the right of way since my lane wasn’t blocked except with cars going around the parked cars. Another pet peeve is when they park in the fire lane at the stop sign in front of the store. That’s an even bigger headache but they have to pick someone up so they park right there and won’t move until the person comes out. In regards to those stop signs in front of stores so people can cross with their groceries it seems that you either have people who refuse to stop at those stop signs and blow right on through and at times nearly running someone over or there are cars stopped and parked right at the stop signs. Cars come up behind them thinking that the car is stopping at the stop sign and then realize they have to get around that car because they are parked there. And if there is a fire then they would explode when they see their windows taken out. Very aggravating

I have a disabled sister I often transport around and it's frustrating to find a a spot and only to discover someone using it without a placard or plate entitling them to use it. All one needs to do is take picture of the handicap offenders vehicle in the handicap spot and a photo of no handicap plate or placard and the handicap sign inthe spot hey are parked in. Take the pictures to the police station and the police will mail that offenive driver a ticket to pay for illegally parking in a handicap spot. I was informed by a police officer that it is affective.
My grandpap had 1 leg and handicapped plates. I usually got viscious with people using the spots who didn't need them. One day a guy pulled his corvette into handicapped spot and got out to walk to the store. I shouted and told him he better move the car or he may end up handicapped. He smiled, and in one motion bent down and took his leg off and waved it at me. Well I felt like an ass, but he actually appreciated me watching out for those spots. Was a real cool guy.

One of these professional Karen’s happens to be my twin sister and to this day she continues to act as if she is in charge of everyone. She hasn’t worked IN 23 years but spends money like Jeff Bezos. She also argues professionally and if things are going her way she has no problem laying hands on anyone in her way. We had a small family reunion at my mothers house and she started an argument with my older sister and it culminated in her calling the police 4 separate times in one night. For everyone saying just give her a ticket and tow, it isn't always that simple. It is still on private property. The property owner would need to have a contract with that particular enforcement department for it to be legal. If this is in an incorporated town or city, then the sheriff's department likely has no jurisdiction to perform that function on this property. If he gave her a ticket and had her towed without having jurisdiction to do so, it would open up his department to a lawsuit.

I've seen the firefighters bust out windows before because of the hydrant, and a few tickets on the windshield. The look of the woman was worth it.

I see taxis, Ubers and the sorts parking in handicap all the time without the proper plates or placards.

She needs her license revoked if she does not know the laws.
For everyone saying just give her a ticket and tow, it isn't always that simple. It is still on private property. The property owner would need to have a contract with that particular enforcement department for it to be legal. If this is in an incorporated town or city, then the sheriff's department likely has no jurisdiction to perform that function on this property. If he gave her a ticket and had her towed without having jurisdiction to do so, it would open up his department to a lawsuit.
The cop should give her a citation and have her car towed!!

One of these days she’s gonna park in the fire lane, go into the store, and a fire is gonna break out trapping her inside with fire trucks unable to get to the door. I’m disabled much worse than she appears to be, but I’d never park where I’m not supposed to.

Handicapped people do get special places, that are specifically marked, to park their vehicles. However, the Fire Lane is NOT one of those.

Sometimes being too nice…backfires. A polite warning to move the car once should have been enough.
