The part with the carolers was pretty hilarious. Loved the part where his wife tells them she used to be a caroler, and his mom turns to Ralph, looking betrayed, and says "How could you?". That shit got me🤣
Really glad they waited until the right story came along. This is the best sequel to any film I’ve ever seen. Just as fun and touching is the first one.
I watched this last night with my kids and I loved it. Sequels are hard to pull off. And newer Christmas moves are hard to pull off (in my opinion). This movie had a different enough story but the perfect amount of nostalgia. It was so, so good.
The new mom was so great. I had to look her up because i thought she was the original actress from the first film. She nailed the role as Ralphie’s wacky mom. The part where they were dodging Christmas Carolers is so relatable. No one likes them. This was good enough to be a theater movie.
He's such a deep thinker. Very enlightening, I love his well thought nostalgia. This movie will reflect many of us at this stage of life. So much real emotion from the adult cast is going to be something to see. I know it will effect me. This movie will be emotional and nostalgically funny for adults and comedic and something to reflect on in their own lives, for the younger generation. The timing couldn't be better.
I just watched it and I love it. You did amazing. This will be one of my new favorite Christmas movies after A Christmas Story of course. I loved the Skut Farkus storyline. It was awesome. I kept asking myself where is Scut and how will they interact. You did amazing.

My oldest son is writing a screenplay for a new Biblical epic movie he calls “FROM NATIVITY TO PENTECOST”, and he hopes to possibly cast Peter Billingsley as a Roman centurion who tries to chicken out of partaking in the slaughter of the innocents of Bethlehem until Herod warns him that he’s in his service by command of Caesar, and to not partake would be treason against Caesar. I’ll admit that it sounds like trying to cast him in the old Ron Randell role from 1961’s “KING OF KINGS”, but nevertheless fellow Roman soldiers at the crucifixion scene would be played by R.D. Robb, Scott Schwartz, Zack Ward, and Ian Petrella, thus leaving the John Wayne dialogue from 1965’s “THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD” to John Goodman.
Well, be that as it may, too bad that Jim Backus didn’t try to audition for the part of the old man, and the same thing goes for the likes of Bob Denver, Russell Johnson, and Alan Hale, Jr., as well.
I can't wait!!! I'm so happy the original cast is back which is a real squeal. The musical was a nice try 🤔😐 and the Christmas story 2 had some good moments but needed the originals back to take Seriously
I tried to watch the new one, about thirty minutes in it was clear that it was a horrible remake, the first one was lightning in a bottle, this new one, not so much!
If they keep the callbacks appropriate to the narrative of the story of this individual movie, that's fine, but movies with a lot of callbacks can easily descend into Die Another Day territory, where they're so concerned with writing for a demographic and cramming in the "easter eggs" to try to convince people they're watching a good movie that really isn't. A Christmas Story 2 did that. Some things never change, but a lot of things do when you grow up and you want to see those changes, not just adult characters acting like they did when they were kids.
Very disappointed that he's bragging about the bond he has with Julie Haggerty but neglects to even mention Melinda Dillon's name. To me that was a slap in the face. Julie is awful in the room She has nothing to the character She acts nothing like the mother nor does she sound like her. I personally think they should have started the store with one parent already deceased and had the father die that way the whole movie could be in homage to the most. Recasting her was a slap in the face And I can tell Peter Billingsley it's just looking to make a buck.

They got this movie right. Clean, wholesome, nostalgic, heart warming, and truly funny! Shocked it came from HBO.
