this is a really good illustration of how stupid that champ's kit is. terrible design. would rather it's not encouraged in top lane.
Zeus was a monster this series. Never expected the biggest gap to be in top lane
its mostly cause they were hyperfocused on shutting down faker and oner in drafts/bans, but basically gave free rein to zeus to play whatever the fuck they wanted, assuming thyshy could handle it. clearly he couldnt

I knew he'd do it...but by that much? I thought Shy would have at least one game where he was better, but that was the biggest Gap I've seen in a Finals EVER. And I've been watching since S3. This was even above Marins level of Carry
@@robertmusil1107to me at least, that just shows how much the LCK considers Faker... Well T1 as whole is. They practiced so much against how to play around or against T1 and Faker that once they face other good teams (mostly from LPL) they start to show their weaknesses. Likewise, since the LPL doesn't have to play against T1 all year around, they don't know what to do when they face T1.
Instant sub for your dissection of those early 100-0 trades. I never even noticed how complicated and insanely well pulled off that was. Zeus dodging every single instance of aatrox dmg and tower dmg was so crazy now that i notice. Wow man, we all got a lot to learn

Every LCS/LEC/LCK/LPL/ERL etc. team gets account to bayes esports portal where you can download replays. I don't think there is a way for normal player to get them

I think the shy staying after the first gank to get 1 plate and shove the wave was a big mistake. I think in the position he is in, where he can’t win the lane no matter what, it’s best to reset and make sure he is in lane on time to deny the plate from yone

How do you have access to the game files?
Allowing Zeus’ Yone was to force Faker off Orianna & Azir; my opinion is that it failed spectacularly and faker finally gets his desired Ahri skin 😂
Faker didn't have a standout performance on the Ahri though, he missed a lot of charms. So that part of the strategy worked out at least, even if Zeus was just too OP

the fight with the dragon where he carried it, he hold his spells because with the play before (WBG were trying to catch them on mid and Crisp burnt his flash, so in that dragon fight he went in bcs he saw senna behind without flash = easy kill)
Man no one picks yone, but when Zeus playing it, it's like the most insane champ at top lane.
That's true if i remember it correctly he has been picking Yone ever since and it's not working to his favor but now he's making it like it's an S tier in competitive.

I mean it wasn't a big risk to take yone into aatrox, yone is a counter of aatrox and he just played the match-up to deny a max of ressources for the shy and on his side maximize the resource he can gain to scale asap and become the super ad carry that yone can become
Especially with the yone buff which is what majorly played into account to make 100-0 trades cuz first of all for aatrox to hit a sweet spot on yone it's pretty hard and the W of yone will tank either a Q sweet spot or a missed Q in all case and if yone has Q3 and gets hit by a sweet spot or is about to be he can either Q3 away or in for an all in
@@Toni-sl4vp that is not it. Zeus is the only one could scale this hard with yone even with the ganks from Weiwei which made him 0 2 0 early, and the angle he finds in the teamfights is incredible. We have seen others' yone, it's just not it.

The baffling thing to me is that Zeus had won, no hard stomped this matchup when Aatrox was stronger in last year's finals and got himself target banned by DRX, WBG 100% knew this and still let Yone through. But hey you still have to win the matchup and props to Zeus on that

12:22 Makes complete sense, it could all have been different if JDG team pushed top in Game 3 not having to defend flanks from Zeus and Faker.
Good point especially with a varus although that would leave whoever goes in mid likely to get killed or maybe they could have just five man top. It looked like they were trying to five man mid anyway.

What champs play like yone? I really like his mobility and tempo, but I have no backup, Yasuo just get stomped by everyone in top. And fiora is maybe only backup

Yone/Yasuo is kinda unique in a way. Idk, maybe I can suggest Jax as an option.
I still fault the draft. Every time its so bad… imo WBG should have gone red side and counter pick Zeus.
Game 1 they dont take Varus/Ashe. TheShy is going into a very hard match up and the rest of the team is getting blasted.
Game 2 TheShy gets counter picked again. And much if the same happened with the team doing nothing meaningful. TheShy trolled one part in lane, but honestly doesnt matter cuz he cant beat Gwen anyway.
Game 3 they dont pick Poppy when Akali is so obvious, TheShy doesnt get counter picked, lane is going well but 1 bad skirmish and that lead is gone and the rest of the team isnt doing much but inting on Bard.
This series gets to be blamed on Daeny and Crisp the most. I dont understand why they choose blue side 3 games and then f*ck up the draft this bad. It would have been better to just go red and secure TheShy a counter pick and deny T1 their good picks. Honestly the way the drafts went, WBG should have just not showed up and save themselves from embarrassment.
TheShy got little jungle attention and overextended, Weiwei allows his jungle to be invaded, Xiaohu doesnt exist this series, Light and Crisp get blasted in lane. Daeny f*cks up the draft to the point I’m convinced he was just betting on T1 to win 3-0 so he could walk away with some extra cash.
This WBG roster needs a better bot lane, needs a mid lane who actually isnt dead weight half the time and a coach who actually understands the meta. TheShy is most likely not returning playing in spring, and the rest of the team feels like dead weight half the time.
Agree. T1 was always winning this, but WBG insistance on the blue side was the nail on the coffin of the 3-0 stomp.
Its clear that light and Xaiohu wont be able to carry against T1 so they needed to swap to red side and give last pick to their best player 100%
They overfocused on trying to outdraft mid/jungle that's why this happened. Faker is on a roll but i don't think he warranted that much focus when there are a lot more danger to cover.
weiwei just got gapped
Probably after he got smashed by Aatrox last year, he had spent a lot of time trying to beat Aatrox. He basically figured out Yone to be Aatrox hard counter.

The only one that carries in T1 is Faker. Zeus was not helping the Jungler, he did not hold his spells for the right moment... Faker told him to do those things.
I thought theshy put up a good fight but it's even more clear now how uncharacteristic of a game this was for him. Absolutely gapped and pummelled
