The older people was videoing all of us and then the little kids were just running around. That was awesome. Everyone enjoying the moment. Being silly together. Not a care in the world. Dancing in public. Singing in public. Meeting new people because of this song. It was just so awesome I wish I could re-live that moment every time I'm feeling bad or something.

Sadly, (and as stupid as this may sound) it's mainly because they are canadian. When I was living in the US, a lot of people I knew hated Kickelback, just plain hating. But now that I live in Perú (and I know a bunch of people from other nationalities specially from latin america) I have never heard someone hating Nickelback. Here, people either like bands or they don't. It's like either "Yeah I like Nickelback they sound awesome" or "Meh, not really my style" and thats it hahah. I don’t know why but this song makes me remember a time when my dad used to be super nice to me, used to be a great confidence lifter, he used to tell me that he loves me everyday, and now, he’s mean to me, he tells me that I’m fat, and the last time he told me that he loved me was on my 11th birthday.
I’m 16 now, I need him now more than ever, now he’s estranged, I’ve *never* heard him tell me that he’s proud of me, and I really need that, I want him to be proud of me. He asks me why I don’t do anything, why I’m never up on my feet running through the yard like he did when he was younger, and I want to tell him that parents usually motivate their kids, not tell them that they’re useless, tell them they could do anything, not tell them they can’t do anything, tell them you love them.
And I cry because I know I’ll never hear him say those words ever again.

Sadly, (and as stupid as this may sound) it's mainly because they are canadian. When I was living in the US, a lot of people I knew hated Kickelback, just plain hating. But now that I live in Perú (and I know a bunch of people from other nationalities specially from latin america) I have never heard someone hating Nickelback. Here, people either like bands or they don't. It's like either "Yeah I like Nickelback they sound awesome" or "Meh, not really my style" and thats it hahah. I've only heard this "hating" when I lived in the US, with the band Rush too!
Cause NickelBack was notorius for cancelling concerts midshow if one bad fan decided to do something bad

Well, they do have some rather bad songs. I guess it's the case of being inconsistent in the quality of their stuff. When a popular band churns out a stinker, it will be remembered. Thus they got the label of a terrible band.

I first want to say that i'm neither a fan or hater of Nickelback, i have the luck to don't have the hype around them, but i enjoy this song, i know it has being invading for a few times but it doesn't validate the hate against them, they made a bit of progress. So yes, they are fa from the greatest, the icons like Queen, Ozzy, Metallica,but they deserve less hate. So, just forget the overhype and just listen to this, but for reason of security, alone, far from any person.
