I can do my stuff that i learned on and off in Taekwondo in the 70's through the 80s. I did several styles but nothing like i did taekwondo. Then to get rhe yellow belt, and then i did the one for the orange belt but moved town before i could take it. That was done from summer of 1989 to late 1990. So I got yellow belt in that time. I kater did a few other systems but not so serious like I did Taekwondo. But you never forget it. You can still do a teageuk bit you are way slower and it doesn't snap when you move.. When young you become fast and your body knows where to put the power which happens in the last turn of the wrist. The chi as it's always called in popular media.. All this stuff hurts to do when you're up there as i am.. And your body dont like to jumo around in the combat stances and all that stuff. But you can still do a lot of it.. And what Elvis was doing is just pure nonsense. His kicks arw not even kicks. They're all very beautiful and clean. Amd the ballance is crazy. People are still so jealous of him so they have to keep trying to tear him down.

A black belt simply symbolizes that the wearer knows, understands and can execute the techniques and katas that are the basis for that branch of Karate. There are also certain strength and fitness requirements, but even so. Getting past that doesn't mean you're done. There are more techniques, combinations, applications and katas to learn that aren't written in the syllabus. What I'm saying is, stay humble. None of us are sitting on the correct answers to everything. We will all remain students forever.

I love elvis.. seriously.. a tremendous talent for music... one of the worlds best.... however I draw the line at his martial arts abilities... it was all for image enhancements... this was the 70s or late 60s ... Elvis had his 68 comeback special... a terrific show ..he saw the merit in business surrounding the martial arts hype in the craze for martial arts.. thanks to the Legendary Bruce lee.. he bought his Grades ... probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on private lessons with known instructors of the day who would glad hand him ...
As a life long martial artist myself I understand the reason behind it but think it should be earned and not bought ....
