    Nice review. One thing about this PSU is that it seems to be based on Intel's new ATX12VO standard but with its own layout. So it may be possible to install better power supply but I wasn't able to look for a good 500W+ TFX PSU. Thought about buying a prebuilt including this, but in the end, the best PC is the one that you build yourself for your needs.
    Cool little box though. May be good for something like a home server.

      Yes, a built computer would certainly be better in many ways. I stated throughout the video that this is not upgradable, since so many people buy them assuming they are and are disappointed that they aren't

    Nice review! Wanted to see the inside of this box and it is what I expected. Just bought one of these, as I'm too lazy to build my own stuff anymore and just need an office machine to replace my 7 year old Lenovo laptop that literally has the silkscreen worn off many of it's keys from work use. If not working my fingers to the bone, the keys are getting worked to the bone 😄 Speaking of self built boxes, two 12 year old "ivy bridge" i5 systems I built are still running just fine, they outlasted Windows 10 it seems.
    There are good Black Friday deals out there now, just picked up one of these with an i7 14700 and 16 GB of RAM and a 512 SSD, no optical drive (I think, don't really care) for $699 from Office Depot. Will probably pop a 1TB SSD in the empty bay. Also grabbed a nice Dell monitor on sale to replace the laptop's screen. The new system Should last me until I retire in a few years!

    I’m not an amateur gamer, but I still love to play some games. My plan is to purchase a pc like this one and add a gpu to it later. Is this Lenovo my bad option in this case? If yes, could you recommend a suitable machine for my plan?

  • @Isoshi-47
    @Isoshi-47 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    if it has 250w psu, it will handle a decent low profile gpu with no issue. like gtx1650 or rtx 3050 6gb low profile versions as they draw around 65w to 72w at maximum load. i have used gtx1650 on a lenovo v50t, which has a i5 10400 in it, and it worked totally fine.

      Correct! Sadly, people buy these all the time, expecting to put a RTX4060 in it...

    Can the device handle Eclipse and Java?

  • @Dr-Itch
    @Dr-Itch 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Can we not just buy a 400w psu and connect a gpu to that. Without touching that 260w psu?

    • @ZipTieNinja
      @ZipTieNinja  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Assuming you're okay with manually turning the external PSU on, and that you have a "Power ON Self Tester", then sure, that'll work

    Hi! Good video. I noticed that there was only one audio out hole, but I didn't found any microphone hole to plug in one, how can it be fixed? Is there the mic hole located in other side not shown in this video? Thanks for you answer:)

    • @ZipTieNinja
      @ZipTieNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The front is a headset Jack that uses a four-pole 3.5 mm headset. The rear Jack is an audio out only

    • @ZipTieNinja

      Without knowing what drives the wireless monitors that is difficult to answer. If they are usb, just about anything probably can, but probably not well. I always wire monitors

    6:24 Hi and thanks. Great review of this model I am considering. But, I have some older, small, Bose speakers I would like to use. I play a lot of music. I am wondering about compatibility and quality of the sound, since, there is only the headphone jack. I don't use headphones. And, there doesn't appear to have room for a SATA backup drive. Thanks, Mary.

    • @ZipTieNinja
      @ZipTieNinja  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if your bose speakers plug in with a headphone type 3.5mm jack, like most, it will work fine (rear green jack). you can add a SATA SSD or HDD, you may need screws that are not included

    I see that there is an option for an optical disc drive on the 5i ideacentre pc which is the one I purchased my question is can you insert an optical disc drive into the optical disc drive slot and if so does the pc come with one installed and if not where can I get an ODD to insert myself?
    Thanks.

      Hard to say if you have the connections and if it will fit. Easier to just use this: amzn.to/407MYWs

    Great Video and Thanks, I subbed 👍 will a Lenovo IdeaCentre 141RR9 Tower (Intel i7 desktop) be able to run on a HHD with a missing SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 TLC on the motherboard?

    • @ZipTieNinja
      @ZipTieNinja  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, a regular hard disk will work to install Windows on if you remove the M.2 ssd. You can also just add a spinning hard drive for extra storage and keep the SSD
