Smart split is just warp flow transition, do a normal jump cut, over lap the clips to create a cross-fade, go to transitions, drag the warp flow into your cross-fade.
I can't play video for some reason i can move clip manually but when i tries to click on play button it won't play!! Anything i could do to fix this..I tried closing up all the project and drag new one still it didn't fix my problem!!

As I use Sony Vegas pro 17 myself, it's pretty decent. But a bit rough with all the crashes and stuff..
